What a quirky little cracker. Some amazing home cooked food in a cozy and welcoming venue. Almost a 5 star spot but the service was a little chaotic but the staff are friendly and accommodating if a little rushed. I had the chicken curry and it was absolutely delightful! Would not hesitate to try again if I was in the area.
My husband and I have been here a few times on the off-peak season, and it's been great. We even got to have the pub dog eat with us, which I loved!
This time, we were here in the summer holidays, and it was mobbed.
The staff were brilliant. Even though we had to wait for a table, the staff were keeping us informed that they knew we were waiting, etc, and didn't just ignore us.
We had a bit of a wait, which was absolutely fine. When the food came out, it was a large, plateful, and delicious. The staff were very attentive, and even though they were so busy, they still had time to chat back and forth, giving us great customer service.
I didn't get many pictures of the food this time because we were all so hungry. The burgers are always so tasty, but the star of the show was the chicken cesar salad. It's one of the best ones I've had! Yummy!!
We will be back again. You just couldn't fault this place.

Very friendly and very dog friendly staff. Dog treats and water at the doggie service counter for customers to give to their favourite furry friends.
Had an amazing birthday dinner with my girlfriend! We had a salmon salad, ribeye steak and scampi. Food was served very quick and it was great quality. Very friendly stuff that are not afraid to go extra mile to make you feel welcome! Thank you a lot for an amazing experience!
Nice diner/ pub. Good prices and friendly people. I came here twice. I don't do that if it's no good. And again they had full house. Second evening I had the grilled chicken burger which was fantastic.
Brilliant place. Was busy when we arrived but by the time we ordered a drink we had our table. Food was delicious. I had a burger and it was cooked perfectly. My friend had chilli and the portion was really big. Chocolate cheesecake for her dessert and sticky toffee pudding for myself and both were thoroughly enjoyed. Staff worked extremely hard as it was busy, but still joked and smiled with the customers.
This is the first time trying this restaurant even though we’ve been to Aviemore before. I really regret not coming earlier. The food choice was so much wider, food so much better than other restaurants we have gone to and was a welcome relief to have things other than chips on the menu. Service was amazing too, the waitress that served us was lovely. We will definitely return.

We were lucky to get a last chance table where all other local restaurants & pubs were full.
Unfortunately because it was late and busy a few of the menu options were unavailable, so I had the gammon (which came with 2 eggs!) and my partner had a thick (was told yummy) burger!
The tap lager was nice too.
The staff were very busy but friendly and always managed to get us sorted.
Lovely pit stop on our way home. Seafood chowder and sticky toffee pudding. Both delicious 😋

Omg I love this place! The staffs are so friendly and nice. The beer is great and hot chocolate hmmm yumm! We ordered chicken curry, salmon and duck, they all are amazingly delicious! Especially the duck, it’s juicy and soft also the skin is crispy and the sauce is sour and sweet~ the best! However, the Belgium waffle is one of my fav dish here so far. It’s perfectly crisp and soft served with vanilla ice cream, you must try!

Very enjoyable meal. Very well cooked and presented. Big helpings. Atmosphere only marked down as we were late in, so hardly any customers at any one time.

We specially appreciated the 'healthy home-cooked' menu options, eg. beautifully cooked fish or chicken dishes with fresh veg and new potatoes. Also the service was pleasant and efficient despite being quite busy. We would definitely return.
Friendly service and good, traditional food. The "chilli jam" that came with the camembert was definitely just strawberry jam with chilli flakes in it. But they get points for improvisation. Excellent sticky toffee pudding.
