Our sort of place. Casual dining. Staff were excellent and accommodating. Busy place with bar downstairs. Good portions of delicious tasting food. Opted for Steak pie and veggie burger. Only issue that could be improved was the sticky tables. Good range of reasonable priced beers on menu.
A friend recommended we come here for steaks as he had a great experience recently. We had a rump and a sirloin, both washed down with a wheat beer and a local beer. We were not disappointed. Food was excellent, seasonal veg was delicious. Steaks brilliant. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend. Menu caters for all but can only comment on the steaks we had. The Skiing Doo represents a large milestone in my girlfriends life; first time eating Chicken Wings, which were amazing by the way. The staff went above and beyond to go the extra mile (shout out to our boy Hayden). As the Tenents and mad dog shots flowed I was encouraged by the good patrons of the Skiing Doo to jump up and play song for the open Mic Night, which we could not recommend more. Scottish hospitality and alcohol left a mark on hearts and souls, and we will be forever grateful to have passed through The Skiing Doo ❣️
We were told to expect a long wait when we arrived as the kitchen was short staffed. This was exactly what happened but having been notified in advance this wasn’t a problem at all. We just had a nice chat and drink to keep us going. The staff were very friendly and the music is superb. Worth going just for that! The food when it arrived was lush (for want of a better word) and tasty. Nice big portions and value for money was excellent. Three meals less than £50! Perfect. Will definitely be going for a second visit this week!
Incredible American-style ski chalet vibes. Service was quick and friendly despite managing the floor as a solo waitress! Beyond meat vegetarian burger was bland and over cooked. Standard beef burger was average. Very impressive selection of shots (50+) and bar downstairs was full of life! Would definitely recommend the bar.
Cute little place, nice selection of meals. Great portion sizes too. We hadn't booked, but were the last table of walk ins allowed, so they were fully booked on a Monday night.
Staff were pleasant and food came out quickly and piping hot.
Struggled to get into the place with staffing issues. But when I did this place didn't dissapoint. Good good. Hot food. Friendly staff. What more could I ask for

We found this place completely by accident, however it was a real hidden gem, the decor was fantastic, they had a great selection of food and drinks. The chilli cheeseburger was great and the chips were amazing. The staff were super friendly and allowed us to look around the areas underground. We will certainly be coming here every time we visit.

The bar is dog-friendly and atmospheric and the service is kind and accommodating. There also were wonderful options for meat-eaters and vegetarians/vegans! Food tasted lovely!

Initially we had booked Winking Owl but after being disappointed there (Menu not as advertised on website).
Anyway my husband and I went here without a booking to be told that they were fully booked through till August.... But thanks to the wonderful front of house gent he wangled us a table downstairs for 2.
Mia our server gave us our menus and drinks in a quick and chatty manner.
Tom ordered the chilli beef nachos/t bone steak/pepper sauce and I had the pulled pork nachos/apple sauce/Mad mac burger(mac n cheese). OMG, the portions were enormous... And with the beer/large white wine everything was perfect..
Can't praise the staff and restaurant enough.
