Evening meal for 4 was beautiful. Looked after by Dave on the bar and Charlie and team on the food. Great menu and beautifully presented. The menu has a touch of french influence combined with traditionals like slow cooked lamb shank basking in the oven since 6 in the morning and falling off the bone. Great experience. Thank you Dave(Paul/Peter/Steve!) Look forward to our next visit when in the area.
Went to French night tonight and the food was amazing!!! Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Haven't had such a good meal out in ages - definitely recommend 100%.
Recommended by a local in Ingleton as a go to place. Had never heard if it, managed to book a table for Sunday lunch. Great mix of options from your traditional English fare to French dishes (owners are French). Food was excellent, service also great. The place is really quirky, with lots of small rooms dotted around, which adds to the atmosphere. Dog friendly, which is a must!
Came here a few years ago after running the Yorkshire three peaks and the roast dinner I had tasted incredible and I thought to myself that it was the best roast dinner I had ever had but wasn't sure if that was because I'd just run 24 miles! I returned yesterday having done zero running whatsoever and can confirm the roast dinner is still the best I've ever had (I've had lots)
The service is lovely and we were made to feel so welcome along with our dog too. Will return.
The food here is outstanding 👌! You must book the restaurant. Do not rely on just walking in. Cosy place to stay. Breakfast really sets you up for the day. Very friendly welcoming staff. Have been before and will definitely go again.
Went there on Sunday after our walk, to celebrate my husband birthday. Had a table in very private area, service magnificent, food excellent. It was one of the best Sunday roast that I've had.
My son (3 years old) so happy with his roast of lamb.
I recommend to prebook the table as it was extremely busy.

Pop in here for a coffee. They serve proper coffee. Reasonably priced. Have a bakery. The roast dinners look incredible, certainly want to come back to try one.
Had one of the best meals (lamb shank with gratin) I've ever had here. Lovely starter and dessert too. Fantastic staff and a lovely pub which, despite the very high quality of the food, is still very much a pub rather than feeling like a stuffy, high-end restaurant.
Group of 12 of us had a fantastic meal last night. Fabulous menu , very tasty food and great staff and service. You won’t be disappointed. We would definitely go back.
We even popped in the next morning for a cuppa and pastry in their bakery / patisserie - very yummy. A ‘hidden’ gem - Austwick you truly have a treasure there.
