Thursday Burger Night - with free pint/glass of wine with a burger.
I had the Cajun Chicken Burger which was excellent. My wife opted for the 12oz sirloin steak from themain menu, which in her words was "cooked to perfection". Beer is always spot on. Very helpful staff. Highly recommended - what are you waiting for? Tip: phone ahead to book a table.
Used this place to meet up with a group of friends who were travelling from all over. We didn't eat but sat and had drinks for a good few hours. It was quiet but the staff were good and it was nice and warm.
We had the Sunday Roast. Lovely tasty generous portion of beef. The nicest yorkshire pudding I have ever had. The dinner was beautifully presented & there were plenty of roasties, new potatoes & veg. They even bring you a gravy boat. Well worth the money. Fantastic 👏👏🌟🌟🌟
This is my local pub, great food, whether you want a beautiful sunday roast, burger night, pies, fish and chips, never a disappointment. A real ale pub, enjoying my favourite plum porter as well as other guest ales, always a warm welcome! Open fires in winter, lovely beer garden in the summer. Supporter of charity, supporting local causes and during lockdown supporting the community and the vulnerable. Everyone is welcome, and strangers become friends, we’re so lucky that pubs like this still exist!
A very well known & respected pub in the North Staffs/South Cheshire area, first time visiting. Definitely the hub of the Village it was packed out. Staff are a bit of fun. Will definitely revisit when they have a beer festival on & the pizza's look excellent!
Superb Pub! Good Ale & if you are lucky enough to get a table on Thursday’s Burger Night or Sunday Lunch, lovely food! As a fan of real ale, they always have a really good selection that changes weekly. Mark and his team run a great pub which consistently delivers week after week, whether that’s a bite to eat or a few drinks with family and friends!
Was not very busy. But the staff were friendly and chatty. I've been told they do nice food. Will have to visit again.

Lovely pub, if you're on two wheels pop in as the pub is bike friendly. If riding in group call ahead and he will have some nibbles waiting for your group, and will make extra space for the bikes.
Lovely friendly place. Never been before but made fell welcome by the locals. Reasonable priced drinks.

Really friendly owner, great sense of humour and a really genuine lovely bloke who earnt my respect with how he looked out for my dad during a very difficult time.
The staff are nice too and the pub has a real cosy feel to it. My kinda place and my kinda people.

Great choice of local real ales,tried 3 and all were excellent.Mexican burger was also top drawer and the young ladies serving were very polite and efficient.
Just like to leave a great review on here, I went out for the “Beer and Burger” night and I had the special Harissa Burger and it was amazing. I would highly recommend this and also the beer as well which always goes down well as much as the warm welcome we always receive as well.
Lovely food, lovely log fire in back lounge, delicious beers etc., and delightful staff. Thought the choice of 1,2, or 3 courses was great, a good mix and match. Will definitely be going again with friends
A fantastic pub, lovely staff, superb food. Ate here with a friend the food was perfect, so good that we will be returning to the pub for dinner and to explore the local area more. My friends steak and my fish was excellent, very tasty, great chips. A little gem of a place, the owner made us feel very welcome many thanks for your great service! 10/10*
