Fabulous place. I loved what the owners have done to the chapel. There is nothing not to like about the Artisan Cafe - a simply charming tea shop and gift shop. I bought a unique necklace that was a real treasure. Highly recommended!!

Got lost looking for fuel and found this absolute gem! Beautiful converted church filled with crafts and homely comforts with gorgeous food to match - salmon pate was delish! All homemade and local, such a refreshing thing to see. The ladies were lovely, warm and welcoming if you weren't already at ease sitting cosy by the wood burner. Will definitely be back, cannot recommend highly enough. Soooo worth the drive just to get here!

Passed by a sign while I was doing the West Highland Way hike and wanted a break to enjoy the gorgeous and rare blue skies and warm weather. Happy I stopped by, the cafe itself is a church converted into a lovely Cafe which serves lunch, drinks and cakes. It had wonderful high ceilings, curved beams and beautiful stained glass windows. Very atmospheric. It had around 10 tables inside and 6 or 7 out. Unfortunately I arrived a bit late for lunch but got to enjoy carrot cake and tea. The cake was too sweet but it was home made and the staff were friendly. They also sold a bit of locally made products, maybe good for a souvenir or two. Cake and tea came out to £6.50

I visited this many years ago when I believe it had just opened, and to be honest, I was not impressed. However, jump to the present and what a difference. The cafe is an old Church of Scotland Church which looks quite picturesque from the outside, where there is some seating when the weather is pleasant and the midges aren't bitting. 🦟 When I went inside, all the tables were full and I had to wait a few minutes for a table. The atmosphere was convivial, warm and friendly. I only had tea and cake, my usual before heading into the hills, which was very nice. However, I did hear other customers commenting on how nice the food was. When I checked the menu board, they had a nice range of appetising food. As part of the cafe, they sell small a range of nice gifts and beautifully locally spun wool. Good job my partner wasn't here, or she would have been buying it up. There is easy wheelchair access and facilities. My only small issue is that the gents loo was a bit smelly. However, having said that, I would return. The staff were nice and friendly, the food was good and the ambience was comfortably welcoming. What's not to enjoy.

It's tucked away off the main road and away from any town, located in an old church (c. 1850). It is such a beautiful building and space, right along the river and the West Highlands Way. The coffee was very good and the pastries and cakes are to die for. I had a clementine cake that was so moist and perfectly tuned, I didn't know what to do with myself. My father thought something was wrong with me or my food. I know the last service in this church was more than 20 years ago, but this experience was a revelation.

A MUST VISIT on our way north to Glencoe or Oban. Great espresso coffee, delicious foamy hot chocolate. Fruit scone was lovely with butter and jam. BLT was the star of the show, in fresh wholemeal roll. Would love to try bacon and cheese scone next time. Quick and friendly service, very short wait for food and drinks when we were there.

We chanced upon this beautiful cafe on our way from Fort Walliam to Edinburgh. It was a very pleasant stop over at this cosy cafe in an old church building. The bakeries were delicious.

The ratings did not lie! Food was delicious and it’s a hidden gem on this route. We tried the clementine cake and the victoria sponge cakes after having lunch here. Best clementine cake, I have ever had. Great food, great vibe and a picturesque setting.

Stopped into the Artisan Cafe on our drive between Fort William and Callander. The food was delicious — our group ordered the spiced soup, some sandwiches and a lemon drizzle cake along with some teas. The cafe itself is incredibly unique being in an old church, but they preserved a lot of the original features such as the stained glass, beams, etc.

If you come along here, a stop at this unique café is a must. The location is idyllic, the building wonderfully repurposed for a better purpose than originally intended without disturbing the character. Visitors can expect a small, fine menu of soups, sandwiches, cakes and all sorts of drinks, served in a very friendly and nimble manner. The only thing I missed was a vegan version of the sandwiches. But I was also very satisfied with the soup, so I hope to come here again soon.
