Very cute lunch spot tucked in the Gleneagles hotel.
For apps we split the buratta and it came out very cold and fresh. The Scottish salmon was perfectly cooked (beware no sides served with it, just some tomatoes). So it’s a bit on the pricier side. My friend ordered the Salmon Risotto. The risotto was perfectly cooked but I think it had a little too much herbs (thyme) taking away from the creaminess of the risotto and the flavor of the salmon.
Overall the ambiance is very picture esque, but it is a but pricey. Service was great!
We went to The Birnam for lunch and the food, service and atmosphere were great! We ordered the caeser salad, beef short rib and the children’s chicken goujons with chips. Everything was really lovely.
Atmosphere and service was upto the usual fantastic standard. Food was a little under par though. Expected much better. I do love Gleneagles though and it won’t stop me returning.
From entering the venue, being seated, ordering and receiving the tasty offerings, the service was exceptionally good. The food is rich and flavourful with careful attention to texture and presentation. Finally, a wonderful desert capped off the experience with a refreshing tang.
Today was our second trip to the brasserie. Both birthday treats. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and a proper sun trap. You’d easily forget you were tucked away in a little corner of Perthshire. The quality of the food is world class. I struggle to compare it to anywhere else in Scotland (Michelin starred or otherwise). I’m a fan of oysters and today’s from Loch Fyne were some of the freshest i’ve ever had. Looking forward to my next trip already!
Very rare for me to post a review for a restaurant, however on this occasion I was so astonished by the meal we had I have to leave a review !
4 of us had a steak dinner at the Birnam last night and it was out of this world. The staff and the atmosphere was fantastic. Albeit it was a treat for the average working man I’d recommend to go at some point for a special dinning experience.
The staff were amazing and although it was busy, they made us feel like special guests
We will be back
Loved Sunday Brunch at thr Birnam Brasserie! Fab food! Relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely book again!
Contained within a stunning setting of The Gleneagles, wonderful restaurant ran by attentive staff and gorgeous food that is more than worth it for a special occasion. Big shout to Daniel for our special gift. A truly memorable day.
Always eat at Birnham when up at Gleneagles. Top end informal dining. Cannot fault it.
Great Burger and chips 🍟 🍔 Good service and food came out in good time
Great service fantastic food and relaxed atmosphere
Excellent food and service.
Such a relaxing environment. We both had fish mains, Sea Bream and Monkfish... they were excellent.
The Sunday "Poulet aux morilles" (a favourite French casserole dish of chicken cooked with creme fraiche and morel mushrooms) is to die for. It is served in a personal hot dish. Absolutely wonderful. It is served every Sunday. They also serve an superb bread with butter at the beginning of the meal. The service is impeccable. Drinks are expensive though and have lots of ice in it, you sense that the new Gleneagles owners need to make money and fast. A good place to have a family meal. I repeat, especially on Sunday with the extraordinary "Poulet aux morilles". CB
Fantastic service and very impressive bruch offering
Very nice venue, high quality in all aspects. We were looked after by numerous people on the night and everyone was attentive, also thanks to Gergely who has worked at Glenmor and now here, good chap.
