A very nice friendly family pub, food very good served very hot and good portions. Just on a warm day uncomfortable as no air con or fans and lack of windows something that needs looking at. Bit expensive but all good quality

Fantastic environment with a real country pub feel, pleasant and attentive staff. Sunday Roast was of good quality and well priced with a generous portion. Only criticism is there could have been a little more meat.

What a little gem this place is. I usually steer clear of countryside/village pubs because most often have limited gluten free options but I was so impressed by the offerings here! Pictured are the GF fish and chips and GF Royal Oak burger, both of which were incredible. There were also a lot of other options available which I'll be trying on my next visit. Also dog friendly, super knowledgeable staff and overall a brilliant experience. Will definitely be visiting again!

Food was amazing. Venison burger was huge and meaty. Chips crunchy and fluffy!

A truly superb little old English countryside pub, log burner, low beams, horse brasses, red velvet furniture, stunning beer garden with a spray of flowers and foliage and the food is top notch. Try the fish platter, you won't be disappointed. A place only bettered by its staff. A true gem!

Went for dinner with family. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent, especially the meat pie which was full of really delicious meat. The pork rib was huge and so tasty too. Will definitely come back

Really friendly place and the staff are excellent. Good old fashioned home style cooking and pleanty on the plate. We were definitely full and really enjoyed the meal. Very reasonable prices and a very good selection to suit all tastes. Lovely old building with loads a character and well presented. We will be going back and thanks to the staff at Royal Oak.

All good. A bit pricey. Coffee luke warm. Steak medium not medium rare as asked for, but a good flavour.

Fantastic home cooked food in a cosy setting. We went in November and the open fire was burning. Everyone had a fantastic meal and service was excellent
