This is a hidden gem. The best food I’ve eaten out in a long time. Tucked behind the stag inn but much better food and service. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking to eat out. Should have a couple off Michelin stars.

First time back today after referb. Was really impressed. Lovely atmosphere, child friendly, and good food. My little girl was given an activity pack while we waited for food but service was so fast she only did a bit of it. Child meal was excellent (saussages, mash, yorkie pud and veg + ice cream included in meal). Me and my husband had beef dinner served in a giant yorkie pud which was extreamly tasty and certainly worth the money. Only thing i could say is some of the veg was not cooked enough for me, but still fresh and tasty. We will definatly be back and recommending to others.

A really lovely country pub, with a real family inclusive feeling, where even dogs are greeted with a bowl of water, a plate of doggy treats and are allowed in either the bar, snug area or garden! The food we've tried thus far was fabulous and large portions were gratefully received, now we're very much looking forward to enjoying the rest of the menu! The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, making the White Lodge a great place to hang out :)

Visited last Sunday for roast dinner, booked table the evening before, on arrival asked if we could sit in the more casual end bar, this was no problem at all. Service/staff were great, as was the roast - only niggle was lack of Yorkshire pudd with the veggie option, so stole half of husbands ! Desserts were divine . This was our first visit & we thoroughly enjoyed it & 2 days on we were still saying how good it was & also value for money. We will definitely go again & recommend to others.

This was the first time we had visited since the comprehensive refurbishment. It has been tastefully done and it has a great ambience with very friendly staff. The food was excellent quality and superbly cooked with portion sizes that nearly stumped me and i am a big eater. I will certainly visit again and would highly recommend this place to all. I just hope it doesn,t become too popular though and we have a long wait to book again!

We had our wedding reception here and I believe this was the Lodge's first! We had such an amazing day, they listened to what we d like for food, what we could do to the room and David and his team were brilliant. We had it just the way we wanted. The food was delicious both main meal and buffet. We were certainly catered for extremely well. We can not thank all of you guys at the Lodge for helping make our day so super special. We certainly will never forget it. Keep up your great work. Claire and Mat Nicholas

Stopped off on a long journey on the off chance. Greeted with an open fire and a friendly atmosphere. The place was clean and tidy with the varied music just the right level. However to top all of this by far was the food. Only had lunch with a ploughman’s and a fish goujon ciabatta. However the care taken with these two dishes was evident with everything on the ploughman’s that could be homemade was. The batter in the fish was light and not at all greasy and the tartar sauce was delicious. We will be back down in a few days and I know I will be stopping here again.

We had lunch yesterday with our two Bichon's. Food was great. The staff very friendly and made a fuss of our two dogs, which they loved, they even had their own little plate of biscuits!! We have lunch here quite often and have never been disappointed.

First time visit for us although family had eaten here before and said how good it was. We were a party of 6 adults and 1 child and we all had different meals and I have to say everyone's meal was excellent from starters to desserts. There was plenty of choice on the menu and even more on the specials board, good size portions and great value all served by helpful, friendly staff. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful old pub with a great choice of beers, lagers and food. We arrived just after it opened for the day on Sunday 5th May. There is a choice of several areas to sit and eat or just drink and watch the world go bye including two outdoor seating areas. We had the Sunday roast (beef) and the pie of the day (steak and mushroom)

The White Lodge is a pub and restaurant on the old Norwich to London Road which now runs parallel here to the A11. It has been refurbished recently and has a large, barn like, restaurant space, which was full apart from the table booked for us, when we arrived. The menu is eclectic but included lots of things we like. There were four of us here for dinner and we all enjoyed it. One of the party began with Whitebait while I had Chicken Wings in Smoky Hickory BBQ Sauce which were sticky and lovely. Our friends shared a delightful Baked Camembert plate together. For mains one of us had a venison burger which came served with lettuce, tomato and pickle and a red cabbage and apple coleslaw and chunky chips. Another the spiced halloumi burger which was served with similar trimmings. I had a Warm Goat’s Cheese Salad with two generous pieces of goat’s cheese and a lovely fresh salad drizzled with a sticky balsamic vinegar, wonderful. And our final guest opted for the Salmon with roasted potatoes and vegetables and a rocket salad which was a real treat. Each of us were very happy with our respective meals. Only two of us had desserts one which was a huge Wild Berry Eton Mess and another had Caramel Crunch cheesecake with Popcorn, both went down well. Overall, lovely food in an open and airy setting.

Been there a couple of times over the last few weeks and we absolutely love it! We will definitely be eating here more often. Food is delicious, atmosphere is lovely (we were sat by the open fire this evening) and customer service is brilliant. Would highly recommend this place! 😊
