First time visiting this pub for a birthday celebration meal. First impressions was that it was nice and warm. The bar area is a little dull, but down the steps to the tables and it was like being in a different place. Nice decor, comfortable seats and tables that don’t harbour bits of dropped food in the cracks. Big tick right there! The food was good as was the service, although they could have been a little more attentive at the end of the meal as we had to go up to the bar for more drinks and to ask for the bill. What we found very impressive was the condition of all their glasses used for drinks. They were immaculately clean and polished.
Very enjoyable evening and we will return another time. Sadly forgot to take any pictures.
It was midweek so the pub was very quiet hence the lack of atmosphere. The staff were lovely and chatty. The bar staff are always great, hard to get an atmosphere in an almost empty pub.
Nice country pub with a warm welcome. Great for a special meal out or Casual dining. Excellent choice of wines, beers and spirits. Has a large function room attached too for events. Plenty of parking. It's somewhere I won't get tired of visiting

Amazing food very tasty and plenty to fill up my stomach , had no room for afters , the service was excellent , atmosphere was outstanding , great pub to have a nice meal with pleasant staff , highly recommend x

We had my mothers 80th here this evening. They couldn’t be more accommodating letting us set the room up an hour before mum arrived.
The food……absolutely awesome! My chicken supreme was out of this world so thank you to the chefs. All 17 of us had a gorgeous meal with bread and garlic bread to start given to us that we didn’t even know about.
The waitresses were flat out but still worked hard to look after us extremely well. We helped them clear our plates onto another table near the door to make the their lives easier. Even when we arrived to set up she immediately asked if we wanted a drink. Brilliant!
Mum had such a great time and thank you Crown for doing what you did. We all loved it. 10/10
Wow what a little gem of a country pub/restaurant !!! The food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The pub itself is cosy and welcoming and the staff are friendly attentive and efficient. I will definitely be returning !! Highly recommend coming here.

We had Christmas dinner there this year. The food was amazing. The service was outstanding. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we are already planning to book next year. P
I attended a funeral tea at The Crown this week, amazing sausage rolls and beautiful cakes, all homemade and absolutely delicious! The service was spot on, discreet but attentive.
