The Gate Inn - Atherstone - Photo album

The first time we came to Gate about 8 years ago. Love this pub, very rural location,we only knew about it from people who lived there. Nice village pub, friendly staff. Maybe some music could be played, otherwise it was too quiet last time. New menu since last time. We traveled 1hr+ for a drink ther
We always have a couple of meals at the gate when we holiday in the caravan up the road. Shaun and Ellie are great and never feel rushed. Roast dinner on Sunday is the best around and is a proper traditional roast. Apple crumble is my favourite. The food and drink are so reasonable and service is 5
Massive thank you to the Gate!! Had all my family (14 of us!) round to celebrate 3 birthdays….. and we went to the Gate for Sunday lunch!! Managed to fit us all in .. and lit the fire for us specifically as my old mom in law was a bit cold. Nothing was too much trouble… lovely people, great food, be
Visited this pub today for a drink and a meal, really friendly owners who made you feel welcome even with our dog. We had chicken burger and the pie and both were really nice. Especially the pie as itcwas one of the best I've had in a long time. Would definitely recommend if in the area.
Great chance for a Sunday meal out, to somewhere that's not to big. Regular customers, polite staff. The chicken meal was fantastic, the fresh veg kept on coming out to table. Afters it was Cheese Cake, of course! Cup of coffee whilst the meal went down. Apparently, so my mother says, I came here 30
Lovely, friendly couple that ran the pub, great food especially the pie. Sat outside on a Saturday lunchtime, so can't comment on atmosphere. Would definitely return.
We don't live local, but when we visit the area in our caravan we always go for a few pints at The Gate. Today we had Sunday Lunch and it was absolutely delish. 👍 Shaun and Ellie are brilliant hosts, they make you feel very welcome. We always take our dogs, the chef came out today and gave us a bag
The pub was great and staff were lovely. Famiky rub which is great. Lovely village and setting.
Really nice little pub. Has been around for many years. The food was good and the staff were friendly. There is a nice little beer garden for kids to play in. Also a decent car park so your car is safe while you are getting smashed out your skull. While the garden is nice, there was a little present
Didn’t have food but the pint I had was stunning. Pub looks like it’s been there for years. Friendly bar staff and very clean. Looking forward to my next visit. Going to have a bite to eat then.
We had a lovely meal at The Gate. The homemade chips are particularly delicious. And the beer got the seal of approval. The staff were very friendly, though not always visible. It's a beautiful old pub inside, the only criticism I have is that there were random boxes and bags around that made the pl
Lovely place. Very local. Ade the chef is best of the best. Don’t miss out 👍
Nice pub, located on the country side, right next to the road, with car park situated on the both corners, always busy. The owner is a very friendly person and this place is pets friendly, u can sit on the garden with your puppy. Food is really tasty and they have always been up to highest quality,
Lovely food and warm atmosphere. Family run. The steak is lovely and the pie is 🔥
Excellent food with very generous portions. Good value for money. I had the mixed grill which was £20.
A very pleasant country pub, with an open and sunny garden. The bar service was excellent as was the pint of refreshing draught beer I enjoyed.
Nice cosy village pub with excellent ales and food.
