Creative menu and everyone in our party said the food was delicious - this is a lovely cosy country pub, we were in dining room but there are tables in bar also. Would highly recommend.

A beautiful country pub in a lovely position with a delightful garden area. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked and well presented. We were impressed to find that the restaurant has its own kitchen garden. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Stopped here for lunch on the way home from the Garden Furniture Centre near Stratford. Had a great venison stew in this beautiful pub. Great service and highly recommend this place. Would love to try dinner here some time.

Just had a wonderful meal at The King's Head. Great service and delicious food. Unfortunately, managed to lock keys, handbag, phone and dog in the car on the way out! A huge thank you to Paul who was so kind to us, let us use the pub phone and got us drinks while we waited for the AA. He went out of his way to keep us calm and be helpful, regularly checking that we were ok...thank you!!

We had a lovely meal on Saturday night 12.3.16 for my husbands birthday. Thank you to the landlord who had the hot towels on stand by for me! Just so you know I had the baby on the 13.03.16 at 1.21am I'm thinking the fish and chips helped. ☺️

Beautiful pub. One of our favorites. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. The fish and chips were awesome (loved the minted peas). My husband had the dahl curry with cauliflower which was really tasty but a little small as a main course. It needed some rice or a chapati or something.

Jodie and the other wait staff are always so welcoming and friendly. Food is good but not outstanding any more - feels like other pubs have upped their game to the same standard now, whereas 15 years ago it was a really impressive menu for a pub. It's pretty accessible for wheelchairs with the additional support of staff to get up and down one small step to the restaurant. Considering the age of the building it could have been worse. Lovely beer garden and a pleasure to soak in the history of the pub and village.

Have visited a number of times over the last few years while on holiday and have always had really good meals. We visit as a fairly large group and there have never been any issues. The food is really good with plenty of options and the staff are friendly and helpful.

One girl ran the bar, took orders, brought food, wine, beer and took away the empties. She was awesome. Fast, efficient and she had a smile on her face the whole time. The food was excellent. Great selection of wines, beers and spirits and a warm friendly atmosphere. Don't wait, get a table booked.

Lovely village pub, food is decent, however for a growing lad the portions left me wanting more for my money. Staff are lovely and the atmosphere is great. Would definitely pop back in at some point

Some portions are very small, duck at £24.00 with no sides is very expensive IMO. Prawn and crab linguine was very small and very tasteless IMO My wifes fish and chips was excellent on two occasions, Gold beer was great, but not always available.

Food was delicious. Staff very friendly, but service a little slow as only one person working being the bar. But atmosphere and food made up for that! Would definitely visit again.

I visited The King's Head with my husband for an evening meal. We were lucky to get a table as it was a last minute booking on Easter Sunday. Good sized car park led us to the rear entrance/exit of the pub. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who gave us a choice of 2 tables. We chose one to the side of the pub just off the function room. I enjoyed a nice latte. Hubby had a beer. Straight to the main courses; beef Sunday roast for hubby and an Asian broccoli meal for me. The food was delicious and good sized portions, but... It was almost cold. 😬 Typically, we didn't complain but ate it anyway. It was all very tasty regardless of the temperature. But it would doubtless have been nicer if hot. I followed my main with a "deconstructed" sticky toffee Sundae dessert, which was ok but I wouldn't have again. Definitely not worth the £8.50 price tag. The member of staff who looked after us was lovely. She gave us faultless customer service. A nice place to eat, drink and be merry.

Excellent food & setting. Popped in for lunch and tried the pie (steak & ale) which was outstanding. A little pricey but worth it. Can highly recommend

We have been several times and always enjoyed it. Food still good but took too long to arrive. The price hike that I completely understand is necessary due to the increased running costs seems to be now over-priced compared to other places

Brett & his excellent Team at The Kings Head, Aston Cantlow, recently hosted our wedding reception, on the 10th December 2022. Everything went so perfectly, the food, the table layout, the way the pub & restaurant were decorated and the overall atmosphere in the pub. So many of our guests remarked on the fact that the food came out to 40 people all at the same time and commented on how excellent the food was, piping hot and cooked perfectly. I cannot recommend Brett & his Team highly enough, they are stars and clearly very experienced at putting on a great function. We have already been back for an lovely Sunday lunch and will be there again soon. Thank you again Brett, from Steve & Jane Wilkes.
