First time for me and I give it a 5 star award the staff were lovely the place was spotless and the food was delicious I will be going again lovely time had all round x😋
Came yesterday 5th Han for my grandsons 18th birthday the meal was beautiful and reasonably price the service was good and the staff were e cel lent there was 10 of us and all enjoyed our meals

As our ' local' Ember Inns' pub was closed for refurbishment we thought we'd visit ' The Bull's Head, Astley, for lunch.
Rather glad we did ! Very welcoming and friendly staff. We explained that we'd not been here before etc. The lady behind the Bar explained that we needed to choose a Table ( table 30 ) , decide what we wanted from the Menu then return to the Bar to place our Food & Drinks order.
From the menu I chose Lamb kofta as my Starter then Sausage & Mash for my Mains. My Husband chose Garlic bread then Gammon & Pineapple for his Mains. Within 10 minute's our Starters arrived ! Both looked very tasty and certainly tasted as good as they looked ( small portion for both but certainly enough for 2 hungry Men ). Mains course arrived in equally good time . Again , neither disappointed. Both dishes were very appealing and didn't disappoint on eating!
We left ' The Bull's Head ' feeling pleasantly full bit not too stuffed.
Would we return? Absolutely! Staff were friendly but not overly and the Food was a extremely good. I certainly recommend dining here for Lunch 10/10 .
Really nice place. We went on a Monday evening so it was really quiet. Good atmosphere and nicely decorated. The food was tasty, reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I particularly like the area that was dog friendly because this means we can go there more often haha
Went in yesterday for food and it was absolutely amazing the chefs were Jodie and Dan they are a credit to the bulls head and know how to cook a good steak my sirloin was cooked perfectly and how I asked for it!!! The front of house members are also incredible (Jake and manager Tracy) such a warming atmosphere!!! Will definitely be going back
Excellent staff food was good. Was not to everyone tastes buy that is just personal like has there was nothing wrong with the food. Lovely and clean. We were a large group and the food was all served together nicely could not fund fault with anything
Service was absolutely amazing, one of the best we've had for a long time. We have only come across the pub the week before when we was viewing houses and come in for a spot of lunch with our daughter.. it was amazing food and hospitality then.
We come with my 4 children and 2 step children saturday and sometimes visits can be a little daunting with wondering if they will all behave, if they will eat and if we will have some looks off people with how many children but it wasn't like that at all. Kids pretty much ate eveything, mine and my partners food was amazing, staff were amazing and friendly and it was a very nice vibe and experience for us all.
Food was & service was excellent, I ordered the steak & chutney ciabatta & asked the waitress was the steak was like as I hate fat or gristle. Took her recommendation & it was delicious cooked perfectly & no trace of any fat, she had actually had a word with the chef to make sure the steak was right for me, above & beyond! All the staff were very helpful & friendly. We used to go to The Bull a lot but the food & service seemed to go off. This is the third or fourth time we've been since new management came in & we've been very happy every time. Look forward to more visits!
Lovely welcoming pub. Standard Ember inn pub food, good deals for school holidays and quiz night on Wednesdays means it's packed to the rafters so book a table early not to be disappointed
Staff member who served us very efficient, friendly & knowledgeable. A credit to your Company.
Nothing big to suggest to make it better but maybe offer table ordering service for larger parties where people want to eat together but pay separately.
We went for a meal tonight at the bulls head in Tyldesley. It was a fantastic dining experience. The staff were friendly and polite . The food was great, and so was the service .well done to all the staff a credit to the company.10 put of 10
I booked the Gold Buffet, for Mum's Funeral. Could not have asked for better. The food was absolutely delicious. And was certainly plentiful. Janet and the other serving staff, worked so hard, nothing was too much trouble, and they were very polite, friendly, and respectful. Highly recommended for anyone planning a party, wedding or funeral.
Food was really nice but bit slow on serving food very friendly and respected and allowed assistance 🐕🦺 would recommend
Nice pub was busy which for me is a good sign the food was really nice had a bit of a wait but there was a lot of people in the pub so a wait was guaranteed and was worth it as we really enjoyed the food and the staff were really friendly would definitely be going again in the future
Always enjoy coming here for food with a friend. Always polite and the young lad who served the food can't do enough for you . Will definitely be back x
