Lovely old country pub, the food was tasty and the service was great, the staff and owners were very friendly and created a great atmosphere. Well worth going for a drink or dinner, they'll make you welcome. Very dog friendly too!
Lovely old country pub. Great gardens for outside pleasure and libations. Food wasn’t bad either.
We joined a few friends for lunch today at the seafood bar.

The entire lunch experience was exceptionally good.
You can see the owners have put their hearts and soul into getting this right and done a magnificent job. This was our local back in 2003-2018, but we will make the effort to return frequently.

Wonderful pub that has an area for everyone. Great character and fire inside, outdoor bbq and bar areas. Places for kids and a duck pond with tables overlooking it. Good choice of beers as well.
What a place! It’s a bit of a trip to get there if you don’t have a car (took an uber from shoreham by sea) but it’s worth the trip. I combined my visit here with a daytrip to Brighton from London. Very nice authentic feel the place has, friendly staff en great food. This place had been on my list for a long time to visit but it was worth it.
Fabulous Fountain! We’ve found a spectacular new local!! Beautiful old pub, lovely gardens and outdoor eating zones. All the staff were very friendly, professional and attentive. Chicken wings were great and good value. The sharing roast for 2 (pork belly, steak and chicken was the best I’ve had in a very long time. Crispy roasts as they were served separately. Can’t wait to go again and bring family and friends

Popped by to check it out and make an August booking and was pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Lindsay and staff made us feel very welcome.
It features a mini beach, skittles, duck pond, numerous outdoor areas, love shack kitchen and live music Saturday and Sundays!!! Can't wait to come back!!!
I've wanted to visit this pub for over 40 years, in fact from the very first time I see the video as a kid. My daughter lives in Chichester , so during a visit I decided they would take me here for lunch.
I wasn't disappointed. It was better than i could imagine. Beautiful countryside setting, stunning old building, Outside gardens, A small pond, children's area and BBQ shack for summer. I cant wait till summer to pull up on my bike and have a BBQ !
The Food was as expected. Mouth watering, Both visually and tasting. I had the Pheasant Burger. The staff made us feel so welcome, even though my initial conversation centred on Sir Paul McCartney. The Homely smell of a real log burning on the fire !!!!
I wished I lived nearer to this pub. I really do.

This is a marvellous English country pub and the food and service are top notch. I enjoyed a rather fantastic pheasant bun which has made anything else in a bun seem rather mundane and the price was excellent.
This venue was a recommendation from a couple of different friends so when in the area we made a detour to visit for lunch and I'm glad we did. Definitely one for a return trip in the Summer to investigate the garden!
Best pub in West Sussex. Paul McCartney was right to turn this little enclave into a piece of history. The owners are so friendly and hosted our Sunday-debrief after our wedding and couldn't have made us feel better. Loved it all.
Lovely country pub, building has lots of history. Full of character. Staff very friendly. Food is good quality, although slightly more expensive than other pubs
Popped in as we were passing and fancied a quick cold drink. Lovely atmosphere so we stayed for a meal which didn't disappoint.
Had a lovely drink in the sunny garden. Decided not to eat but food looked good. Lovely country pub that we will visit again.
Great atmosphere, very pleasant and attentive staff, best ploughman's lunch in many years, nice pint of Harvey's and very easy parking.

Beautiful pub, lovely garden and the weather was stunning ! Really found the parking signs funny. My son had a burger and he loved it, it looked great too.
