Great walking area around the heritage centre and surrounding area. A great get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Great place for a walk, jog and cycle. Has a few walking routes but be sure to stay away from the farm areas and private roads which are clearly visible. There are lots of horse riding activities that take place so please be mindful of them as there are tight roads. It has a small river connected to a slightly bigger river, just follow the road and you’ll find the walking routes.

Really nice spot. Interesting historical remains of the mill that you can easily explore, in a lovely wooded valley. Good information boards to give you an idea of the history and what it would have looked like. Good paths and free parking. Really good place to start a walk from too as there are several footpaths heading off towards the hills.

Love this part of Oldham... for the wildlife and happy people you meet. Get away from the hustle & Bustle of the busy Town🏙and appreciate nature👍🏻

Lovely site, some fascinating history about the 200+ year old former industrial site, from metal work, cottonmill, railway, quarry and coal mines. Little remains now but you can still see traces amongst the countryside. Well worth a wonder, typically quiet, peaceful and a few bits to see. Lovely area to walk the dog.

Great for long scenic walks. So many paths n streams you can't help coming across something new every time. Lots of photo opp's if your into that kind of thing. it's easy to get lost for a while and plenty of wildlife if you know where to look making it great for the young ones.😆😃😁❤️

Quiet, well kept, friendly people visit. Smells of sewage near the stream. Nice place to stop for a sit, coffee, then move on.
