Had to catch up with my friend after 5-6 yrs & I had no clues as to where shld I call him near to Epsom Race course. 2 km down from Epsom we found this pub & decided to get in. The decision was right as this was a real cool pub. With 2 open seating in front & back . Back side had the large screening of Euro 2016. The indoors were also very cozy & one can sit here for hours chatting & drinking. The staff was friendly & courteous. We tried couple of beers/whisky & rounded up with the burger. Loved this cool countryside pub πŸ‘

A fantastic traditional pub. I met up with a group of people I know. An area was reserved for us as requested. The service was very good across all staff - warm, friendly, intelligent and polite . Significantly better than many other pubs in the area.

Old fashioned pub with several separate rooms and a large garden. Large bar with two to three real ales. Limited food menu, mainly snacks. A bit scruffy but comfortable.

Good traditional pub. Pizzas good. Update: Still does good pizzas, now has a new ale on the hand pump and cocktails on tap! Update: Remains a good drinking pub, now have a new coffee machine making decent coffee. Kitchen currently closed due to power costs, but pub still open for drinks. April 2023 - kitchen still closed I think, but pub open. July 2023 - kitchen still closed, but pub Remains open and popular. October 2023 - kitchen remains closed, but popular pub and showing major sporting events eg rugby world cup.

Had a quick drink and lunch on a hot day here. Carpark available around the back of the pub. The garden was very nice to sit in on a sunny day. There was also sheltered seating so you could sit in the shade, or out of the rain. Decorative pub with iconic band memorabilia.

My favourite pub in Ashtead. Frorndly, welcoming and lots of seating in different rooms and a good place to go for a beer with friends. At the time of writing, they are not serving food.

Nice beers. The food is pretty typical pub food, but it's tasty and well presented. Dog friendly too.

Very friendly, good food (even better menu recently!), nice garden area both out the back and out the front (great for people/car watching). Can get busy at peak times! Staff seem much more attentive recently (jan22) not that it was a problem before.

Probably the best service in a pub I have had whilst watching the rugby, excellent bar service and the lady in charge offers us the TV in the Den even using her own phone to stream the game when the bar got too busy. This was customer service in the extreme and hats off to a very hard working team. Will definitely be back. πŸ‰πŸΊπŸ‘πŸ»

A proper local village pub not pretending to be a restaurant. Grant & Nat do a great job of managing the place and the other staff always have a ready smile....... Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name, and they're really glad you came. Cheers

Best pub in Ashtead. Staff are friendly, has front and back garden, and fair selection of booze. Loses 1 star because they run out of draught beers and ciders regularly. Get the inventory sorted and Leg gets 5 stars
