Rang these guys very last minute to see if we could get a camping spot based on recommendation, explained that we wasn’t going to get there until 11pm.
They kindly explained they would be closed and couldn’t admit anyone after this time which was fair enough.
10 minutes later a member of staff from the Drum Inn had the kindness to call me back and offer a spot if we could pay over the phone (which we gladly did)
Not many people would be thoughtful enough to do this, very much appreciated.
Unfortunately didn’t have chance for a pint but we will definitely be back next time we use the tunnel.
Stay here, drink their beer and eat their food
Excellent place for a stop over for the outlet centre or on route to cross the channel . Owners very friendly and the pub food was was really tasty! Will definitely be back again !
Lovely top pub for a meal , beer and stop over for the Euro tunnels
Fabulous pub tucked away in a lovely village. Meal was first class with great service..all washed down with a lovely pint! Reasonably priced too!
Excellent stopover point on route to Europe. Great pub with superb food, friendly and helpful staff, super little camping area for motorhome, caravans and tents set in a lovely area with great right or way public footpath with stunning views! We will be back for sure!

Our favourite local, always good selection of food & various local ales, largers & ciders..
Staff are second to none ! Always polite & nothing is ever too much trouble.....
Winter time in the 'snugg' next to the wood burner is a must !! Truly wonderful pub...
We spent the weekend here with our caravan. Such a lovely welcome on arrival. Clean facilties. Great pub. Next time we will dine in. Thank you
Very, very friendly and good food. Would recommend it.
Stayed one night for stopover after getting off the ferry at Dover. What a gem of a place this is. The camping area is peaceful in a country setting with all the facilities you need. Felt really safe at night and had a good nights sleep. The food in the pub was excellent and everyone was very welcoming, also dog friendly. The Drum Inn will definitely be our go-to site for a stopover for the ferry or the tunnel. So easy to get to from the motorway.
Great stopover with the van before the Tunnel. We didn't eat this time so can't comment but the pub looked lovely. Unfortunately the showers were broken the day we were there - but I think that was just one of these things - they looked fine! The field was completely full with motorhomes and they had all gone before 7.30 for early crossings.
Lovely pub campsite about 10 mins from euro tunnel. Very quiet, and nice countryside setting. Pub serves good food and very welcoming and friendly staff. Perfect for an overnight stay before catching the euro tunnel. Shower, toilets and washing up facilities.
Stopped for 1 night for a nearby event. It was a nice, fairly quiet site, although you could hear the traffic from the nearby M20, but it was not intrusive. I pitched a tent for the night. The ground is level and virtually stone free. The facilities are a bit dated. Hence, I waited to get home for a shower. Food at the pub was a bit gourmet for me. The only thing on the menu for me was the Ham, egg, and chips, which was fantastic and an ample portion. All the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. A lovely place to stay and would recommend.
Looking for a quiet traditional country pub when you are on the way to or from Eurotunnel? This is it. Just a mile from the M20. very old charming building and traditional inside, this is how old pubs used to be in the '70s. Pleasant staff and great food.
Great food and service in the pub.Friendly welcoming staff. We stopped with the campervan before getting the tunnel. Fab location. The local tesco is great for breakfast prior to the crossing too.
Lovely little English pub, the food was well presented and tasty with a good selection available.
The service was very good, the bartender being polite and friendly. Had to grab my own salt and pepper but otherwise couldn't have asked for anymore more.
Just an update - another lovely lunch at the Drum. The service was excellent. It is exceptional when things are noticed and assistance offered over and above the standard. Thank you.
Lovely cosy country pub. Welcoming and friendly. Good menu and frequent specials.
In the summer I have known to go just for one of their homemade ice creams 😋
Brilliant menu, fabulous food. The salmon starter was outstanding, loved the seabass main and the chocolate steamed sponge pudding was the best. Service was great too. Brilliant chef.
The food here is absolutely amazing every time. It costs a little more than average but worth every penny. Always quite busy on weekends but the bar staff are brilliant
Very good food with interesting and traditional menu offerings. Sea Bass was cooked perfectly with delicious side of gnocchi and samphire. The pork belly also was excellent and beautifully prepapred and presented. The BLT ciabatta was toasted to perfection with a wonderful balance of tomato, rich bacon, fresh lettuce and mayo. Service was very good; prompt, attentive, and well timed and professional. The location is very good to the countryside as well as close to the channel tunnel with plenty of parking and good seating options both indoor and outside. Would come again. Recommend.
What an absolute credit Henry and Emma are to this pub. After a grueling 10-mile hike, they really looked after us, from greeting us and showing us to our camping pitch, to bringing beers and a delicious meal to us quickly and cheerfully. It's quite rare to come across great service like that, so they deserve every bit of recognition!
Great experience!
Excellent pub. Sunday roast very nice hot and plentiful. Good stop before the ferry.
Had a great time camping for the night very friendly and helpful staff made you feel very welcome lovely pub food camping toilets and showers very clean
Would definitely stay again
Would have loved to have given this pub 5stars however I had to take one star away as we were unaware of the steep car park incline that nearly took our motorhome tow bar & under floor off. We may not have read the pubs info so could be us. However if you have a long vehicle ours is 8mtres & a long overhang this delightful little site may not be for you.imo
The new improved toilets and showers for campers are a great improvement, much appreciated. They are kept immediately clean by the conscientious cleaner too
A great place for overnight stay when travelling on the euro tunnel to France. The food is decent although they close early some days.
