It was my first visit to the “fresh painted coat” of Ashford. Walking from the train station to Shen’s Mediterranean Cuisine restaurant was an architectural history lesson from the nineteen hundreds all the way through to modern day.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch time meal here as one of a group of four. Food was excellent, I personally had the falafel starter and sea bass main - I would definitely recommend both! The other three people in my party enjoyed their meals just as much as me. The member of staff who took care of us was fant
We ordered from the Lunch specials and were pleasantly surprised by the quantity and the quality of the food. The cozy booths, warm hostess, hearty menu choices all whip up a good appetite. Prepare yourself for some big portion sizes. Loved the fresh, warm bread straight out of the oven!
The food here is just amazing. The way they cook their meat is so good and always so tender. Good value for money. Service excellent........ nothing bad to say about this place. Go eat there.....you will return again and again.
Oh wow, the food here is outstanding, fresh, good quality ingredients. I ordered the feta cheese salad and hummus starter, the portions were massive and wow, that hummus was perfect. First time visited and was kindly surprised. Delicious food and really great service. One of the best places to eat in Ashford. Very reasonably priced lunch menu too with lots of vegetarian options. Will be definitely coming back.
We had a takeaway from Shens this evening. Unfortunately, they omitted to pack one of the dishes. I wasn't too worried, I phoned them and just asked them for a credit note against our next order.
