Our first ever visit last Sunday to this lovely little village and tea rooms. Great experience, friendly staff that thanked us for our custom on our way out. I work in a cafe/coffee shop so appreciate the importance of acknowledgement to your customers. Food was lovely and coffee was excellent (I like a Good coffee). We liked it so much that we have been back again today and although it's a good 40-45 mins drive for us it's well worth the drive and I'm sure we will be visiting on a regular basis. The only negative is that its not on our doorstep
A very warm welcome is always on hand from this excellent family run tea room. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or coffee and a cake, you're always sure to find what you want, and it's all tasty food! A hidden gem awaits with their outside seating area at the rear, you can enjoy lunch with the happy hens!! 5*
Very warm and welcoming people. Great that you can take the dog in and lovely garden for them out the back. Food was superb, very generous and arrived quickly. We'll definitely call in again.
Lovely selection of delicious cakes and the coffee was one of the best we've had for a while.
Lovely setting, we sat outside, but inside is lovely too. The food was excellent and a good cup of tea (very few places get tea right) really pleasant friendly staff, would definately visit again
Perfect early breakfast stop for us hungry walkers with great coffee, local bacon, free range eggs & lovely outside garden in summer. The cakes look yummy clandestinecake fabcoach

Nice and cosy place to have lunch and / or tea.
Huge variety of sandwiches to choose from.
Not on the menu, but there are lots of sweat treats too.
Had the salmon cream cheese sandwich. Plenty of salmon and cream cheese. Some nice salad on the side. Meringue pie as desert.
Kind owner and his family run this place.
1 toilet. Clean and cleaned while I was there.
What a cracking place to visit!
Friendly staff, great food, great portion sizes, and a great price!
A few random chickens roaming free in the rear outdoor seating area merely added to a pleasurable visit.
Good choice of cakes in this small cafe, service was very good. Really couldn't fault the pleasant staff, they couldn't have been nicer! Little bit cramped in the cafe, hence the loss of a star, but worth a visit.
What a great find. And dog friendly.
I had a ham and piccalilli sandwich, served with a salad, a little coleslaw and some crisps. We also had scone with jam and cream. Delicious lunch!!
Finished off with a Nottinghamshire made salted caramel ice-cream, that too was delicious.
Garden was closed as there were recently hatched chicks.
Chris and Cheryl made us feel very welcome and gave us a list of places to visit while we were here.
Hope to come back again.
Make sure you walk around the bridge, beautiful.
We had a Bakewell slice and a Bakewell pudding - both were delicious . Very friendly welcome despite muddy boots and dog.
Quirky , quaint little 'Tea Room' in the picturesque village of Ashford In The Water.
Lovely friendly , family atmosphere , owners and staff very polite and pleasant.
Fine fayre to be had.
Well worth a visit !!!
Great place with a lovely atmosphere, very helpful staff 😍😋
Small tea room serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Friendly service. The food was freshly prepared and good. Usual sandwiches paninis, jacket potatoes etc. The coffee is great. We had the vanilla slice which was not up to the mark, unfortunately, so avoid that.
A lovely little cafe and really dog friendly!
Lovely cafe with a fairly large menu. We had two americanos and breakfast sandwiches. Quick service and tasted delicious. The cafe also sells chutneys, oils, crackers and cheese. We bought some local rapeseed oil and chutney to take home. Also sells cakes which look amazing! Highly recommend this little place.
