The Hundred is perfect if want to step back in time. Rural to its core, it’s surrounded by stunning scenery. A real hidden gem. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean, full of character and homely touches, with ensuite shower and tea making facilities. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. I highly recommend it.

Just came back from an overnight stay at The Hundred of Ashendon. We chose it due to its proximity to Waddesdon Manor. What a treat! Comfortable room and amazing food. Our evening meal and breakfast this morning were so delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing. I had the best meal in a long long time. I loved everything about it from the fantastic service from super waitresses to the lovely décor of the place. It was a wonderful way to spend a balmy summers evening and I can't wait to go back again. Thank you...x

Everything you want from a pub - a warm welcome, beautiful setting, lovely atmosphere - but this place does outstanding food! I mean cooked to perfection grub and an imaginative, tasty bar menu if you just fancy a snack. Also recommend going to any events they do - their street party last summer was a great day!

Matt's cooking is just outstanding. The best ingredients, imaginative combinations, not fancy, just perfectly delicious. Lunch yesterday was a great example: the sea bream with kohlrabi and brown shrimps was stunning, the fish pan-fried in a little butter, the kohlrabi finely sliced and served with tiny brown shrimps and capers. Nothing could have been nicer. Thank you, Matt and team.

I'm in love with this place. The food. The atmosphere. The building. I've been located here in Ashendon for a week, house sitting.... what a local to have one the door step. I will be back........

Probably one of the best kept secrets in the county. Either that or nobody told me about this place. If you've never heard of the lovely village of Ashendon, The Hundred is a reason to visit. A small lane opens to the venue on your right with parking within view of the outside seating area. The place has plenty of character and the staff greet you like you've been coming there for years. If you're unfamiliar with any of items on the menu, the staff happily explain everything and it's no trouble at all. The pickled mackerel starter was excellent. The duck legs with peas and bacon was simply magnificent. How they sunk so much flavour into those peas I'll never know. Then there was the Featherblade... Rich, succulent and melt in your mouth tender 🤤. Everything in just the right proportions with excellent timing to match. Dessert would've been an overindulgence and thus will be sampled on the next visit. Ended the evening in outdoor seating next to the apple tree. Went back to compliment the chef and staff on a job well done. Great place!!

A comfortable bed and breakfast, only 20 minutes from Bicester and 5 minutes away from Waddesdon Manor. Fabulous spot for delicious British fayre and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was cooked to order and just as delightful (included in the room cost). Highly recommend the freshly made madeleines (15 minute wait). Staff were super friendly and made us feel at home. Downside - The pub is noisy in the evenings and note the twin room only has a bath (no shower facility). The track down is narrow and if there is no parking available, then there is a parking area at the top of the road.

Such a beautiful pub, delicious Michelin quality food, the care the staff and chef show is superb. Try the damson in distress cocktail, so yummy.

Lovely pub in a lovely location with friendly staff. Perfect location for what we had planned during our 2 night stay. Limited choice on the food menu but we were warned in advance that this was because of staff holidays. There was still good quality bar food available and the breakfast was very good. Pleasant atmosphere for a drink with good beers etc on offer. The only negative I would give is there could be more comfortable seating in the outside areas when the weather is good. We would definitely return again.

We have had the most amazing meals there and have not only recommended it but took most of our family and friends there for a beautiful meal . We have stayed in one of the rooms and have to say it was fresh and clean . Thank you for all the gorgeous meals and hospitality .so,so sad .

We booked The Hundred for our wedding meal (40 ppl). Five stars. PLANNING: before the day, Ellie - the proprietor - was engaged, attentive and flexible in planning a huge spread in a buffet-style for us. She effortlessly took dietary requirements into account, and got all the quantities spot-on. FOOD: excellent - diverse, delicious and filling. Everybody was amazed with the quality, especially given that they prepared food for 40! We really couldn't fault it. SERVICE: Ellie and the team were accommodating to all of our needs and suggestions before the event, helped to set up flowers we brought and - on the day - were always there before we realised we needed something. Thanks to all the staff at The Hundred for making the day so special.

Outstanding cuisine in a casual pub environment. The Devilled Kidney starter was packed with flavour. The sea bass main course was just so fresh and tasty. Excellent quality food and service. Highly recommended to all 👍

Nice little country pub. Very fancy sounding menu, although the actuality of the dishes was not always overwhelming; but in some instances it was very good. Certainly worth a visit for dinner.

Really enjoyed our visits. Food was super. Shame it is just too far away to be a regular visit, and very sad to hear that they have made the difficult decision to close the kitchen...... Tough times bring bad news....

Great food. It's a lovely pub inside. The roads to it are a little rough but slow and carefully does it. I had a mouth watering starter of Celeriac, pomegranate and Berkswell. Sadly I was so taken by it I forgot to take a photo. Main of Babette, Fries with a watercress, shallot and capers salad. And fantastic puds - yum! Depending upon your network, your phone signal might be a little iffy.

Gorgeous little pub with high quality food. Friendly cheerful staff (even under pressure as we were a very large group.) Definitely worth a visit if you fancy something different as the menu champions nose to tail dining and has some different kinds of dishes. Beef skirt was very tasty with chunky chips that are probably the best I've tasted. A culinary adventure with bold flavours and ideas. Brown bread ice cream is amazing!
