By far the best cafe in Ashby! I’d say it’s one of the best cafes in the East Midlands over all with no exaggeration! The food is made fresh every time I visit with friends or family and the service is quick and efficient and friendly. The food is to die for and it has so much taste to it not just your ordinary lunch! Thank you to Helen and your team for giving 5* + service 24 7!

We had afternoon tea here today for the first time and can honestly say it's one of the best we've had! The cakes and creme brûlée were amazing but the sandwiches were something else, the cheese and pickle are to die for! (The pickle is amazing!) the staff were very attentive and kept asking if we wanted our tea pot refilling. The place itself is lovely and exceptionally clean all in all a 5* place where we will definitely be returning. A big thanku!

My first visit to this cafe but definitely not the last! The food is beautiful and freshly prepared - I just wish I had room for one of the amazing cakes on offer. The staff are so friendly - I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen for years and they didn't mind that we sat there for hours! Can't recommend The Courtyard highly enough.

I come to The Courtyard regularly and haven't a bad word to say about the place at all. The food is always so good - I've had breakfast, lunch and high tea there and each time the food has been amazing. The staff there are also very friendly and welcoming - 5/5

We have eaten here a few times, the service and food is outstanding, very fresh and homemade which is a delight, I love the mocha coffee and it is definitely the best coffee in Ashby, our recent visit was on Sunday for breakfast and WOW the quality again was just wonderful, definitely our favourite cafe for many great reasons 👍

Stumbled across this quaint and welcomed location one Saturday lunchtime .it was already busy always a good sign in my book of quality . Served by lovely waitress and order light snacks for me and and my 2 children .goid arrived looking fresh and very appealing our meal was totally delicious loved the children nibble sticks platter ! I saw the cakes on way out and they were huge not in my weight watchers diet plan sadly . Lovely lunch and great little place worth a trip .thank you

I had the most amazing slice of raspberry and white chocolate gluten free cake, washed down with delicious cappuccino. So good, I had to check it was actually GF and such a generous portion too. Will definitely be back!

Just discovered a gem of a place to eat in Ashby. Went to The Courtyard for lunch today and was very pleased to find his place tucked away just off Market Street. The outside area is very neat and tidy and although today was not the weather to sit outside, it certainly looked like a pleasant spot on a warmer day. Inside was very warm and inviting. Service very polite and efficient and I ordered the Aberdeen Angus burger which arrived on a platter with a generous portion of chips with a side salad and coleslaw. The chips were proper chunky chips with a crisp outside and a fluffy middle. All the food was obviously prepared freshly in the kitchen and was absolutely superb. This was my first visit but it will definitely not be my last.

My friend and I had tuna and cheese melts and shared a bowl of perfect chips. Even though it was a busy lunchtime, we were served very quickly and the food was excellent. All the staff were lovely. We'll definitely go here again.

Friendly staff great service and good food. Very clean and the staff were attentive but not overbearing. We didn't have to wait long for our food and it was of a good quality and the staff were accommodating when we asked to swap items on the menu for others. There is additional seating upstairs, only downside was the toilets were also upstairs which wasn't a problem for us but may be for others. Great place, will happily go again

The food and drinks were 5 star the service attentive and polite staff the choice was extensive and looking around everybody's food looked so nice and quality attention to detail. can't wait to return to try other things on the menu.

We were a party of 18 for a late breakfast. We filled the upstairs room and we all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We would struggle to find any fault at all. Thank you!
