What an absolutely amazing pub and a lovely piece of history restored back to its authentic dark and cosy past. Great food and the meat pies with vegis are amazing. Extensive selection of beers and drinks.

Lovely characterful old pub. Great food served without delay. Very quiet for a Friday night so there was no real atmosphere as such, but that suits us. The day we went the choice of ales was limited but wouldn't stop me going back again.

Popped in for lunch. Fabulous Fish Platter and Wildsider Cider. Pub busy but excellent service by Levi. So much character and seating inside and out. Lovely atmosphere definitely worth a visit!

A most fantastic experience. We came in for a beer and were so impressed with Gaia and Liam behind the bar that we decided on a bite. Happened to meet Chef too. One talented gent. Cannot recommend enough!:)

Fab pub! Excellent service, extensive beer selection, lunch and dinner options available (we had a great meal!), lots of indoor seating which is split up into quirky rooms and a garden area at the back. I also noticed that they advertise the use of a private tap room / the whole pub. Just need an excuse for an event now as it would be a great location.

Great staff - very friendly! They had lots of gin and rum choices, which they happily talked us through. We were staying for a week and ended up there almost every night! The pub had a lovely atmosphere.

We emailed early on a Thursday morning asking to reserve a table for food that same evening, I had a response within an hour and they were able to accommodate 4 of us. ( 2 adults and 2 kids) The pub looks like a proper old pub from the outside and the inside has even more character! The staff were lovely, we all ordered different dishes 2 x pies, mussels and the pork chop. Everyone enjoyed their food! The chips taste like proper fish shop chips and the portions are generous! Great selection of ales and gins. We will hopefully be able to visit again whilst we are down this neck of the woods! (As we're camping and the weather is too terrible for a BBQ!)

What a lovely tucked away pub! Lovely selection of beers including lots of craft choices. Lovely original deco and a cosy far interior as well as a very friendly owner make this a pub worth coming back for.

Came across the pub after visiting Buckfast Abbey, there were 6 of us with 4 dogs. We sat out the back, and the service was first class, as was the food. Would recommend this pub to anyone looking for food in the area.

Delicious lunch, perfect for a grey day, hearty broccoli and stilton soup with cheddar and pickle sourdough bap. I could have stayed all day in this friendly, cosy, atmospheric pub. The staff were outstanding as well. Thank you.
