Went to buy some garden furniture. The salesman was very knowledgeable about the products and not at all pushy. When we had chosen what we wanted we asked if it would be possible for it to be delivered within 6 days. After checking he offered to come later the same day! When he arrived, less than 2 hours later, he quickly assembled the table and took all the packaging away. Remarkable service.
Visited Santa and his Reindeer on Saturday. No queue as we prebooked so kids got through quickly. Santa was very friendly and chatty and we didn't feel rushed at all. He chatted to my older son for ages and he was happy to pose for different photos. Definitely the best Santa in Ashbourne and we hope to see him again next year

We enjoyed a lunch and shopping trip at Fairways today. The restaurant was short staffed but we couldn't fault the friendly helpful service, and the delicious food. The staff were like swans, calm and welcoming on the surface but probably paddling frantically underneath! The garden centre staff were equally good and more than willing to answer my random questions. Stock was carefully curated for a really pleasurable shopping experience, and I appreciated the particularly helpful labels on the plants, which all seemed to be of excellent quality and well cared for.
Fairways has to be one of the best and my favourite garden centre ever. Family run since 1992, it’s stocks everything from plants and trees to great tubs and pots, garden furniture and homeware. The even have an on-site restaurant that is very good.
Staff are all excellent and friendly, lots of parking too.
Check them out at Christmas and see the decorations.
Highly recommended.
We called in by chance when we were close by visiting Sudbury Hall.
Extremely well presented Garden Centre with absolutely loads to see and all the products of good quality and the plants all well cared for.
Excellent tearoom as well ,we are sure to visit again when we are in the area, another thing I must congratulate you on, were your stock levels, everywhere was filled up which I always believe is good practice especially so soon after Christmas.
Hi..we visited today 30/9/23 the Christmas shop was a pleasant surprise, made even better by the warm welcome by a young girl serving. She made a particular fuss of our elderly boxer, which she loved, a true credit to your work force. Many thanks
Probably the best garden centre we've ever been in,so much choice at great prices across the board, the restaurant is quite amazing with lush food and the staff were very very pleasant. Thankyou 🙂
Good Garden Centre Café lunch. Had a nice freshly baked fish pie and plenty of vegetables. Nice and hot with lots of fish in the fish pie. Good cakes and scones. Plenty of salad choices and freshly prepared sandwiches. Lots of table space so you don't get crushed together like sardines. Actually a good Garden Centre as well. But worth stopping by for lunch or a snack. Recommended...
Nice garden centre with plenty of parking. Visited the cafe, food was nice however the cafe is very big so I would have hoped they had a large menu however it was very limited food that they offered. I think they would do better with a bigger menu.
Great food.. fresh and tasty. Lovely to sit and eat outside on the patio area in the sunshine.. equally comfortable and spacious if you choose to eat indoirs.
We have been here quite a few times now.. we call whenever we are passing on one of our trips, going south and on the return trip home... All roads lead to Fairways!! 😉
Called in to dry out and to have a coffee after a morning of walking in the most horrendous weather we have seen in a while , what a delightful centre , bought quite a few things , friend bought stuff too , including a dog toy which dog chose himself , coffee quite nice too , will definitely go back when next in area
Went in for breakfast today (25/06/2023) and all the staff seemed happy and friendly with a smile on their faces… I really loved that. The 5 item breakfast was tasty and good value in the current economic climate; the girl who made my toast apologised warmly for forgetting the butter and it’s just little things like this that will make me and my wife definitely go back - Cheers guys, I hope you got through the hot weather :)
A very pleasant place to visit. Clean and tidy and all the plants look so healthy. Highly recommended........ If only for coffee and cake.
Good food and friendly faces BUT NOT DOG FRIENDLY YOU COULD MAKE SPACE FOR DOGS IN THE RESTAURANT IN THE WINTER SEASON BY THE WINDOW VERANDA.
Beautiful and stunning, lovely gift ideas, garden furniture etc, loads of choice, but expensive, like most garden centres.
