The Yew Tree Inn Ednaston - Ashbourne - Photo album

If you find yourself driving down to A52 on the way from Ashbourne and you see a sign for the Yew Tree Inn you need to make your way there. You will find, like we did today, the warmest, friendliest welcome to a fascinating pub. We only stopped for a short break but the service was excellent and the
Visited for Sunday lunch. It was excellent. We had the gammon and the pie. Food was all cooked perfectly. A great selection of vegetables. Roast and mashed potatoes. All food was piping hot. Staff were all very good, helpful and attentive. First visit for food - been before and sat outside for
We had a great meal, and the beer was good, too. The staff were very friendly. Great country pub.
Best Sunday lunches ever - sometimes it takes a little while to come out but more than worth it. Never yet eaten it all and never had a bad one, all served with a smile. We use it for meeting friends and not one has failed to be impressed.
Fantastic meal. Lovely staff. Fair price. New staff did lead to some chaotic but smiley service. Any pudding will do. But in a wierd way, this just makes me like eating here all the more. Fantastic onion rings, but easy with the salt next time.
Like other reviewers.....why is this place not busier? Good attentive staff. Decent selection of beer. Good small menu of well cooked food. We had a good mixture of food, pizza was freshly made and the kids loved it, and the chicken kebabs off the specials was amazing. What topped off the meal wa
First time at the Yew Tree today 26.02.23. Can’t speak highly enough of the welcome, service, quality of food and the general feel of the place. Dogs welcome too. Will be frequenting this lovely pub in the future for sure.
Again lovely place sad day but I was very impressed over 150 people all at once never a problem at the bar food was good 👍 very nice
Lovely friendly pub with great beers on tap and an absolutely fantastic roast. Small selection but everything is excellent, welcoming to dogs and walkers. Thoroughly recommend a visit if you're in the area and - most importantly - they do a proper pie, no ramekin nonsense!
Absolutely amazing place to eat and relax! Sunday lunch was one of the best I’ve ever eaten and for my three year old who is going through a VERY fussy eating stage at present she was given a lovely Ice cream treat while we were eating which enabled us to finish our amazing food. The staff were real
Sunday lunch, absolutely perfect - expecting to have dessert but the main was so filling and tasty couldn't be tempted ☹️ Perfect service and exceptional value
Very nice place to have Sunday lunch. Well cooked and Yorkshire puds are fantastic. Five of us called in on way back home from Kedleston Hall. All five said they'd call in again. Nice country pub with kind staff, couldn't ask for anything more.
Food was absolutely delicious and the staff were lovely! Fantastic after a long day walking in the Peaks.
We walked to this pub from a nearby caravan site, we only had a drink, Blue Moon, was cold but no slice of orange. The pub was also really cold inside, I couldn't see any fires anywhere in the bar area. Nice atmosphere and the menu looked good too.
My question is:- Why is this pub not packed to the rafters with diners? Come on people of Ashbourne and Derby, do yourselves a favour and get a table booked for Sunday Lunch. We had a delicious roast dinner of Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding, served with Mash and Roast Potatoes along with Cauliflow
Excellent food and service. My wife was 70 and we called in for Sunday lunch, the landlady had put up a banner and balloons along with a glass of prosecco. Lovely atmosphere. Can't recommend this pub enough.
Great food. Recommend the Sunday lunch! Servers were a little confused on the food when bringing to the table on portions sizes of the sharing sides. And the food didn't all come out at once or equally staggered. We received one meal 15 mins before the other 7 meals which all came together.
Nice friendly local, we call in for Sunday dinner on a regular basis. Good value for money in my opinion. Seats outside, plenty of parking, propper Country pub.
