On a beautiful summer day, it's just a lovely place to visit and walk around, and the distance is 7.5 miles. It took us approximately 4 hours at a steady pace!

Easy to follow route (8.2 miles) around the reservoir (follow the red arrowed signposts) was a warm day with a light breeze across the reservoir. I brought a picnic but there are plenty of food/ snack options. Clean tidy toilet facilities.
We booked for Afternoon tea for 4 people and it was beautiful lots of lovely sandwiches cakes and scones with jam and cream. The staff were lovely. It exceeded our expectations in both quality and quantity.

This is Carsington Reservoir. It has a visitor centre and cafe. There is a walking and cycle path around the reservoir with some scenic views.

Arrived wet and cold, no problems about us dripping as we entered, very pleasant, prompt service soon warmed us up. Plenty of tea in the pot for two and lots of milk. Great value and made the miserable conditions bearable.

Absolute superb meal. Ordered chicken salad and beef roast, food was excellent, actually 1000% delious. Will be coming back, first visit. Bakeeell oydfinv was swimming in custard lovely. Perfect. Chef need some credit. Some praise. Award. Price was good also.
Great walk and different choice of routes. Small and medium routes or the full walk round. Food from the cafe is nice however it can be busy in there so be prepared to wait.

Went with the family for a day out it was a fantastic day I am Disabled and I need a morbitly scooter and I can get round which is good it's got fantastic park for children and lovely warks eating places
