Lovely selection of fresh bread. Friendly and knowledgable staff as well.

Small seating area outside. It’s a take away business so that’s a plus rather than a negative in my book.
Ample parking on the market place car park adjacent.
Well worth a visit.

Superb Bakery!
I’m never disappointed when I visit the Bakehouse. They have a great range of sourdough breads and some fantastic cakes, sausage rolls and pastry’s! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. A special shout-out to the woman who served me today, thank you!
Excellent bakes. You are not allowed into the bakery currently, however the staff do a brilliant job of telling what's available and describing the options. We had a cranberry and pistachio slice, a cinnamon roll and a focaccia bread. We were really happy with all three and will hopefully be making

The Bakehouse sell delicious products, I personally love their sourdough baguettes, but breads and sweet produce of a very wide variety are also very yummy :) The place looks lovely, one can even stop and have a danish on the spot with a good (and free!) cup of coffee, though it's is not the most sp
If you are a visitor to Ashbourne and have never tried the Bakehouse, I would urge you to go and try some of Lisa's excellent breads and pastries. There are always plenty of samples of bread to try with good olive oil and balsamic vinegars available for dipping. My favourites are the bagel, cream ch
Just tried the Red Leicester sourdough, superb super tasty with a great texture, if you like bread and feel like a treat then this is for you. Don’t be put of by the price, it really is worth it

Amazing sourdough bread and lovely staff. We got a great recommendation for a picnic spot, to make the most of some rolls we'd bought. Fantastic.
Excellent independent bakery. Friendly and with a great variety of breads and treats. A must if you're in or around Ashbourne (and no, I have nothing to do with the shop, I just love cakes and fresh bread :-) )
Excellent food, the staff literally go out their way to help and serve you and will make you any type of bread or bake what you want just let their expert bakers know!
The bread, bagels and cakes are awesome. A real bakehouse. The staff are all genuinely happy and love their chosen passion. If you are in or near Ashbourne it is a must. Well worth it.
Great sourdough bakery and cafe. Huge selection of loaves given the size of the bakery. A slicing machine would be nice though.

Whenever we're in Ashbourne we pay a visit and buy some superb bread (walnut is fabulous) and dog biscuits. Stayed for some soup today for lunch. A real gem!
