This place is wonderful, they were so accommodating to me hiding a surprise 21st birthday in their cellar for the day after. The staff were incredibly friendly and chatty. I could not recommend this place enough for both family meals, or even just going for a quick drink. Booking a table was efficient and easy through an online system.
Unfortunately, when we went on a day where their ovens were down (which they kept myself updated on through calling us, and tried their absolute best to make it the best surprise possible) so the menu was limited, however, what we did have was absolutely delicious! For someone who's a very picky eater and gets funny with their meat in particular, the starter of the chicken (and my main of beef pie) were so good, we both enjoyed it!
A special shout out to the server who was obsessed with Genshin, we had a good smile as we spoke to each other whilst paying for our bill, and they were all greeting my friend with a happy birthday too.

Great and well decorated, cozy pub with lots of seating, tellies with sports on, quiet but nice music playing, good selection of beers and delicious food. The service is like no other. The staff are all very polite and friendly too.
First time visiting here and the service did not disappoint. All of the bar staff were very attentive & there was a wide variety of drinks on offer. Think I may need to shrink to fit in next time as the ceilings are all made for people under 5ft 😂

Super friendly staff. Really helpful. Lovely dog friendly pub. Had a pint and chips outside and it was lovely. We'll definitely be back.
I booked a table for 20:00, but turned up early. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Always had a smile well spoken. I didn't think i was in a pub but in someone's home.
The food (bangers and mash) was amazing and the apple crumble was very good.
It was worth finding this very delightful pub. I would even go out of my way to come here.
Ribeye steak was spot on. Cooked to a perfect medium rare. Chips were nice even though they were frozen. Recommend the sticky toffee and rum cake with custard!!! All in all a very good experience. It’s a nice pub!! 👍👍👍👍
Lovely meal , we had the fish pie with lovely fresh veg followed with the bread and butter pudding . Delicious , and the prosecco was very good. Excellent service, will definitely be going back

Great food, reasonably priced, and very friendly staff. This was a real pleasure to visit. Just stopped because it looked pleasant and had parking but it was a real find. I'll definitely visit if I'm ever up this way again.
We stopped by for a Sunday roast, which was amazing value with free extra potatoes and Yorkshires, the desert was lovely also. My only complaint is that we waited 20 minutes after being seated for our order to be taken but we were just unlucky that a party of 11 had ordered just as we walked in hence the delay. Food was lovely, staff very apologetic about the wait and it was a pleasant meal. The only thing I would say is that beer is quite expensive but when you consider the price of the food, the meal isn't expensive at all. We will be back!
What a great young man Jareth is made us amazing cocktails. Great barman. Would definitely be coming again.
