1st time at Crab Manor in villa Serbelloni Enjoyed private hot tub, hubby very happy with secret beer tap says it tastes better when it's free, Staff all very friendly ,helpful and professional meal in restaurant delicious, breakfast lots of choices. Only improvements could be a dressing table I could sit at to do hair and makeup ( possibly a stool in the huge bathroom) although the illuminated makeup mirror in wardrobe was useful. Also a fridge to store the fresh milk offered for hot drinks Didn't spoil our stay just suggestions I

Cannot fault the food or the service. Superb fresh produce and fish dishes to die for. A little pricey perhaps for some, but worth it for a special occasion or treat. Top notch!!!

WOW, what a place. Beautiful scenery, amazing rooms (we stayed in Bird Island with our own private hot tub and sauna). Staff were fantastic, (Claudiu the porter couldn't do enough). And to top it all off the food was sensational

I have holidayed all over the world and in many 5* resorts but my first impression of the Hermitage took my breath away as did 30 min in my own personal sauna and hot tub. Recommended by me. The food was excellent as always when I have visited and the friendly staff make for a very enjoyable stay.

Me and my partner stopped in the Bardola Lodge for one night and loved it! The room was amazing with a private outdoor hot tub! The bed was very comfortable and room very clean! The man who showed us to our room was lovely and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was fab and we even got an extra sausage because we had to wait a bit because it was busy but we weren't bothered about the wait! Would defiantly recommend this quirky hotel to anyone. Thanks for a fab stay!

Honestly the best customer service I have ever experienced in this country! The suite was spotless, the food was out of this world but the friendliness, professionalism and assertiveness of the staff was admirable! It is expensive but I would much rather have quality over quantity!

Another amazing stay at the crab and lobster. From the moment we arrived Armani took us to our room. He was so friendly and accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Finishing another brilliant meal in the restaurant. Kevin is an absolute asset, we’ve met him twice now and he’s so warm, friendly and attentive. Upon leaving the restaurant and returning to our room, there was a knock at the door - it was Kevin with 2 glasses of champagne to congratulate us on being recently married. We can’t thank him enough for going over and beyond. Thank you to everyone at the Crab for being so welcoming and attentive during our stay!

This was my first stay at the Crab and Lobster, and I will definitely return. We had lunch in the restaurant, both the food and service were impeccable. We then stayed in a room with its own hot tub and sauna, absolutely wonderful. We joined the porter, Kevin, in the lounge for complimentary canapés and managed to put the hidden beer tap to good use! Kevin was brilliant, made everyone feel at home and relaxed. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved the sound of the singing chef from the kitchen!! A wonderful stay, leaving us relaxed and refreshed.

Having been away for a while, I looked for a favourite restaurant that might still be delivering food and service post COVID forget the recent poor news via the gazette. This has nothing to do with the food and service Absolutely WOW You nailed it guys. Oysters, fish soup and a Steak. Sounds simple but…high end, soup just filled with taste, steak fat rendered to a mm of its deserved life onto my plate. Service, ambiance, quality is all there. Just very WELL DONE

This restaurant was recommended to us and we went for the first time today for a birthday treat. The food was absolutely delicious with generous portions. The service was very good and everyone was extremely friendly. The interior was fascinating, and there was plenty of room between the many tables. We can't wait to go again!

Extremely good fish restaurant. We had a lovely meal. They do accommodate well behaved dogs in the bar area by prior booking. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

Recently stayed in the Raffles room. Great experience as usual. Room was fab, very quirky and lots of lovely freebies. Only comment would be this room has a sauna in the bathroom, great idea, but it does make the room extremely hot! Especially when the radiators were also on! Own little hot tub in cute courtyard outside. All staff were incredibly friendly and professional and willing to go above and beyond. Love the atmosphere here, the food, the rooms, it's the whole package 😊

Crab manor is excellent with great service, amazing themed bedrooms(we chose Venice) and a really cosy bar.So many interesting things to look out, things to do and you can enjoy the lovely gardens.Walking through the gardens you can spot the pine lodges, the jacuzzis and the thatched Crab and Lobster restaurant. The restaurant itself is quite dark with flickering lights that makes it look like the inside of an old galleon.Again plenty to see ,a lot hanging from the ceiling and all very interesting. The food was very nice, quick to come out and tasty. Finally a nice walk back to the manor for a nightcap in the bar.A really nice evening for a very special occasion.

We stayed in the Shangri-La suite. Beautiful room and service all round. We got engaged that evening, and the restaurant manager went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after. We are so grateful for the service we received, it really made our day special. Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Crab and Lobster Hotel in Thirsk, and I am absolutely thrilled to share what a fantastic venue it is for couples seeking a unique and charming setting for their special day in North Yorkshire. The Crab and Lobster Hotel is a hidden gem, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Thirsk. From the moment you arrive, the distinctive character of this venue becomes apparent, offering a perfect blend of coastal charm and countryside allure. The attention to detail in the décor, coupled with the warm and welcoming ambiance, sets the stage for a wedding experience that is both intimate and memorable. The staff at The Crab and Lobster Hotel are deserving of the highest praise. Their professionalism, friendliness, and dedication to ensuring a flawless wedding day experience were truly remarkable. As a wedding photographer, The Crab and Lobster Hotel provided a delightful canvas for capturing beautiful moments. The unique coastal-inspired interiors and the well-manicured gardens offered a variety of backdrops that added depth and charm to the photographs. The versatility of the venue allows couples to tailor their day to match their vision, making each wedding a truly personal and distinctive affair. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Crab and Lobster Hotel to couples in search of a distinctive and unforgettable wedding venue in North Yorkshire. The combination of its unique charm, attentive staff, and culinary excellence make it a solid five-star choice. I look forward to returning to capture more love stories at this wonderful venue.

I gather it has changed hands. We thought it seemed a bit different when we walked in. However the food was excellent and despite being served the wrong drinks, which also caused confusion with the bill, the service was excellent. I have subsequently noticed some poor reviews, so I hope they take note of these, as it's always been such a special place and I hope it thrives as we have always loved coming here over the years. They ought to get the taps sorted out in the men's loo as my husband had soap all over his hands which he couldn't get off.

Stayed in November on a deal. Our first visit for a while. First time in a suite and the room was massive! A few things in the room were looking a bit tired but to be expected and doesn't really detract from the experience. We had a power cut for nearly 3 hours due to a storm so couldn't use the facilities or hot tub until the power came back on. The hotel gave us a voucher when we left for the inconvenience which was a higher value than we expected so can't fault them for that. They seem to have improved a few things such as breakfast options and room details since our last visit which is good to see. Although we noticed a few things removed from the menu probably to cut costs. We are looking to go back soon.

Three of the party of five arrived early and were warmed up by a gregarious and attentive blonde waitress. The bread arrived quickly and was fresh and varied, seafood options were be varied but so was the rest of the menu. Some local beers and they fixed the flickering light for us so an easy traditional 5 star experience.

Really unique place. Some rooms are better than others but you will definitely find one you like in the style that suits you. We liked the little cabin we stayed in on the second night although missed having a shower. Food was good although a little hit and miss across the two days we stayed. Breakfast, however, was fab!

What an amazing place, best member of staff was Kevin on the hotel bar, what a true delight he is, he made the evening for me! Rooms are great, but our under floor heating was on constantly. Food is great and a good portion.
