Such a lovely place it's a shame the food is just not that great. I'm not sure whether it's rushed or just can't be bothered. So went in for the unlimited breakfast, the mushrooms look like they'd not seen a frying pan (so did the tomatoes) the scrambled egg wasn't great and had a weird taste to it, a bit of salt and pepper wouldn't have gone a miss. The sausages were the only tasty thing there. Oh and yeah the beans tasted really cheap. The actual pub was really nice and very well laid out.

Breakfast service improvement Went to Crossbush for a birthday breakfast. Had to do 2 trips, so I arrived 40 minutes early, expecting to buy a coffee in the bar and wait. I was allowed to grab a coffee from the breakfast counter and sit and wait for the rest of my group. When everyone was here, got taken to table and told to help yourselves to the continental breakfast. Some items had run out, but the staff were quick to replenish when told. Sarah even brought a strawberry yogurt directly to the table. She took our order and was great with my little boy, who just wanted everything, and took note of any special requests. Food took a little longer than normal to come out, but it was very busy, and when it did come out, was hot and exactly what we ordered. On our previous 2 visits here this is what had let them down, so a much improved service this time. Sarah checked back with us and my little boy wanted another sausage, which was brought to the table. When it came to the bill, was nicely surprised when told it was 2 free kids per adult (1 was only expecting 1 to 1).

The service was amazing, our waitress, Kayleigh did a fantastic job of welcoming us and checking in at the right times. The food was good as well, with large portions with solid quality, would recommend a visit!

Went for dinner as offered 40% discount on main meals. Wanted a chicken stack, but after ordering it and waiting for our meals, we were told it wasn't available. I ordered a mixed grill and cancelled the onion rings we'd previously ordered as they were with the mixed grill. We had calamari to start with, which was nice, although we thought the portion was on the smaller size! Main courses arrived with the onion rings we'd cancelled. The mains were good and certainly filled us up to the extent we didn't have enough room for a sweets. Will go again to get our free deserts we've earned from the loyalty card and if they offer another special offer discount.

Really good food and drinks. We scheduled dinner with or hotel stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. We all really enjoyed our dinner. The children had children's meals of steak, hamburger, and chicken. They also had the appetizers of flat bread, crisps, and veggies. For dessert they had, vanilla ice cream, ice cream with chocolate sauce, and pancakes. The really enjoyed each of there meals. We had the grilled veggies plate and lamb chop plate with the mushroom appetizer. All were great. For dessert we shared the toffee pudding with custard. All was delicious. Besides pints, we also had the espresso martini. It was a dessert by itself. We look forward to returning tomorrow for breakfast. We returned for breakfast the next morning that was included with the price of the evening meal. It was a great deal. The breakfast included continental and hot ordered food. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Various teas and coffee included. I enjoyed a flat white with two extra shots of espresso.

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door and met friends/family for Sunday lunch. As with "chains" the menu was good with the addition (being a Sunday) of the "Sunday Roast." I'm not a great fan of Sunday Roasts as having grown up with them, I find the mass produced less than satisfactory to be honest. That said, I do venture into the unknown occasionally and will say that this one was very good. I went for the "Ultimate" which was Beef, Lamb and Turkey with veg etc. and there was plenty but not too much. Service was good - the place was, as expected very busy - and the food timely. Although busy you weren't rushed. All in all a good experience and with with them giving Blue Light card discount made the bill sweeter too.

Friendly staff. Food was good, well portioned and reasonably priced. They do mid-week menus for 2 or 3 courses, which work out very well. Would recommend!
