Just popped in for coffee and teas. Lovely setting, overlooking the river, friendly staff and great coffee. Some clever and funny signs as well! Will be back!
No problem parking with Mill Road car park immediately at the entrance with masses of space. Pay and display.
Cafe very easy to spot due to the expansive painted sign and mural on the exterior park facing wall.
Single door entrance with signage directing diners to take a seat and be waited on. To the left is a small narrowing area alongside the river bank. To the right is a much larger area fitted out with sofas, comfy and rattan chairs all under cover. There are also tables and chairs lining the riverbank. There is a single toilet cubicle at the end of the covered area.
More seating is available in open air closer to a small stage area. A three piece band was playing on the day of our visit.
Service was quickly provided as there were ample staff in attending. Drinks and meals arrived promptly. An extremely worthwhile stop with a unique view. Loved it.
Excellent food, service and great location by the river. I always come here for lunch after the Arundel Castle 10k race and cannot fault it so return each time, plus bring my Dad here throughout the year. Attentive staff, friendly owner. My order arrived within 15 mins, delicious food as always so compliments to the chef. Ideal place next to the river but can't believe some people who think it's OK to sit and eat their own food without asking first, it is a cafe not picnic tables. If you want more benches to sit by river for a picnic ask the council as their responsibility not the owner
This cafe is in ,a perfect location by the river. The menu offers a good range of dishes. I had an omelette which was really tasty and my husband had eggs royal he said was delicious. The servers were lovely and friendly. I've been here before with friends. Always get a good service and great food
Lovely spot to take a break or have something to eat, down by the river. Just what was needed after a long day walking around the castle!
The staff were lovely and very friendly!
Would recommend :)
Lovely spot next to the river Arun. Was really busy when we came here for lunch so the service was a little slow. However, the food was good so worth the wait. Would recommend a visit
Nice location by the river. Plenty of outdoor seating most of which has some form of cover such as umbrellas. It was mildly busy but the service was efficient. Covid measures were comprehensive including the laminated menus being cleaned before each use. I had the fish finger sandwich. The fish fingers were larger than usual and properly cooked. I had a flat white coffee which was ok but if coffee is important to you, I'd get one elsewhere. Overall, very pleased with the lunch, the service and the location.
Excellent food and great service. Friendly staff. Beautiful view and great price for all 4 of us. We had 4 meals for less than £40 which I found great value. Beautiful view.
Lovely café, amazing views and friendly staff
Wow, what a beautiful hidden gem! I came here to do some dog training and found the staff to be super kind and friendly! The homemade sausage roll was also delicious
Lovely little cafe to stop and have lunch before or after a visit to Arundel Castle.
Huge scone really tasty and great value for money, and other half enjoyed a fish finger sandwich, huge fishfingers and really nice bread. Slightly disappointed if they didn't have any lemonade to go with a gin but opted for a small wine instead. Really relaxed atmosphere and you can even rent a motorboat if you so wish!
Lovely spot by the river! The scones are delicious and staff are so friendly and chatty. We were just visiting the area and they explained all about the river and in the summer they have boats to hire.
