Great little place on the Main Street of Arundel, right on the “square.” Nice interior, comfortable and welcoming staff. Excellent service, wish I had the name of our waiter - came in for lunch with family on 25th Aug with the festival outside in full swing for lunchtime entertainment. Our waiter explained food and options, and was friendly and generally lovely. We all had different starters, from a good selection, but I had the chicken livers in cream white wine and onion sauce. Delicious. It paired wonderfully with a glass of Australian Viognier. For main I had the duck salad. We also tried the special - aubergine and tomato soup, also mushroom with ricotta and chilli and cured pork and chutney. Chicken pesto, and carbonara for mains were all enjoyed. Nice to see local beer (very good) on the menu, and a nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks.
I would recommend this restaurant for good food and service.
Great food and wine. Very good selection of both. The staff are lovely offering great a friendly and attentive service. Well recommended for a lovely evening or a light lunch. Arundel needs a place like this to add to its charm.
Excellent food and service - never disappoints. The ambience is cosy and relaxed and the staff are friendly and knowledgable . One of our favourite restaurants - a hidden gem!
Fantastic service and delightfully tasty food. My children loved the duck and pizza whilst the wild boar meatballs are to die for. Highly recommended if you like authentic Italian food
Love this place. Food, drinks and service all excellent! Had many a lovely coffee, wine, cake or pizza here. Would definitely recommend

Took my mum to Osteria for lunch on Saturday. Her first time. We chose the special of beef and quinoa chilli with flatbread. The food was amazing and the flatbreads a stroke of genius! The service was spot on too. Friendly and polite, yet relaxed. This remains one of my favourite spots to eat.
Sue and I have eaten here for 20 years, firstly in Pappardelle upstairs, and now down in Osteria. Two completely different atmospheres - fine dining upstairs (you feel almost like you are in a home, it is so sweet, beautiful and ... well, Table 3 is the ultimate for us) - and down in Osteria, the communal, relaxed and accepting atmosphere is where I'm found in the day. Free WiFi means I extend my coffee break and eat an excellent quality lunch. Good menu. Great value too, lovely friendly yet not overbearing staff team. Coffee is superb. My only concern in adding this review is that I won't be able to get a table! Yes, having lived in West Sussex for decades, and been to most pubs and restaurants, I really rate this place, up or down.
Wonderful ambience, friendly and helpful service, great food and fantastic wine choice.
Our experience at your Restaurant was the best, great food and pleasent service. We were treated very well even with a small child, nothing was too much trouble.
Very nice place. Food was great, very tasty and came very fast! Staff was also great, helpful and friendly Can't wait to go back!

Came in today for lunch with my partner for her birthday. The food was just awesome, great flavours & presentation and good portions. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, I'd especially recommend the lunch meal deal!
I loved the food items and the items that were for drinking them. Would eat and drink at this place many more times in the future.
Brilliant wine bar, great food, and good company. A must try for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and so many choices of wine by the glass. Plus the Italian above serves great food too and Pasta is also served in the wine at till 6.00pm.
Occasionally pop in for breakfast on a Sunday, always made to feel welcome.Food is always excellent & the staff are happy, friendly and efficient.
Lovely lunch today... great food... great service... good value
Excellent food, beautiful surroundings and very pleasant staff. A must to use again
Nice surroundings, great location and lovely food albeit a bit cold...
Very reasonable prices and great food. Lovely service too. Can’t go wrong.
We visit the Osteria whenever we’re in Arundel, for espresso and light bites. The Osteria is the Italian café on the ground floor of the Italian restaurant Pappardelle, in the centre of Arundel. We’ve been going there for a number of years now - the staff are always welcoming and friendly, and the coffee and food are very nice. The place has a style all its own, and we always feel relaxed and happy when we visit. Well recommended.
First time I've been here and very nice place to eat. The staff are very friendly and the Cajun Chicken was as it should be; juicy and spicy. Very nice lemon flavoured biscuit with your tea as well. Although fairly quiet during the week, it does get a lot busier over the weekend.
Great food and service every time we visit. I had the harissa skewers with Moroccan couscous, my better half had the four cheese pizza. Highly recommend.
We were amazed at how good the pizza, mussels and seafood platter was. Wine was good too. Go for the orange, lime and stem ginger cake, awesome.
I cant recommend this first class restaurant highly enough! Cant wait to go back
Very good atmosphere and friendly staff. Excellent wine and good desserts. We weren't in love with our mains (that's not to say we disliked them, though) but maybe that was just our choices. We'll definitely return.
The staff were so lovely and willing to go the extra mile and ensure we had a wonderful evening. It was very calm in the Restaurant and perfect for a night out. The food was amazing and well priced for the quality of the food! Thank you and will definitely be back again soon
Lovely little place in Arundel, great for meeting up with friends or for a date. Have a few good ciders available too.
Really lovely service and food! The sourdough bread was perfect with the ham, goat's cheese, fig and rockets. Eager to come back and try the pasta. Also appreciate that there are many gluten-free options!!
Lovely restaurant upstairs - we haven't tried downstairs yet. The menu choices are reasonable and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is quite intimate as it is quite small but a wonderful place for a special occassion or treat. The desert menu is somewhat heavy so after our delicious meals we declined. Always book as it does get busy. We will definitely be back.
Perfect! Wonderful service and, as always, reliably excellent food (same family business for about 30 years!). A real dining treat. The property was built in medieval times so you are surrounded by beautiful wonky walls and ceilings with timber beams all set off perfectly by soft lighting a warm colour scheme. Love it love it love it!!!
Have had lunch downstairs several times. The food and coffee are delicious and the staff are wonderful. You sit at shared tables, but these have been "seperated" with the use of clear screens.
Lovely meal really tasty. Pizza was yummy and the starters were good portions. Staff were really friendly from booking on the phone to waiting at the table. Good value for money as well.
In this day and age Italian restaurants are everywhere. Most of them are fairly ordinary but Parpadelle in Arundel was stunning. Really lovely little restaurant right in the heart of Arundel. The service was fantastic and the food amazing. We both ordered starters and mains which if we are being honest was probably way too much food but it was worth it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great Italian food.
Very nice place to eat and were willing to accommodate us despite being very busy. The staff were willing to go the extra mile to ensure we were looked after.
