The best chip shop in Arbroath is a big debate and everyone has their own opinion of which is the champion. Personally I’m split between Marcos and the Golden Haddock.
We ordered tonight for delivery to Carnoustie. Delivery costs £5 out here which is on par with others. It was estimated 90 minutes
Not gonna lie, chippies aren’t really my cup of tea but when I heard Marcos did pizzas as well my interest was certainly piqued!
Was really impressed. Great base, lovely tomato sauce and nice toppings. 5 out of 5 would recommend. Would go back
Excellent fish and chip shop in nice harbour location. We were seeking a fish and chip supper on holiday and weren't disappointed. Great food and hard working staff in a busy location. Always a good sign when a takeaway is busy... My daughter thought the ice cream shop next door was equally great!
Weird I know, but I'm not usually a fan of chips from chip shops. It's very rare I enjoy them. But Marco's chips were absolutely perfect! I really enjoyed them :) it's weren't a fluke either because my nephew told me had some before and they were good... so when we were there, we got fish and chips.
Marco's has a lot going for it: probably the best batter I've had on fish light but still crispy keeping the fish moist, generous portions for the fish, a frying to order policy so the fish gets to you in the best condition, and very good chips. The prices are very competitive compared to other chip
Great place to park up and eat your food over the harbour.
Fish and chips were very delicious, crispy and great potion size. They do a great cuppa tea and coffee varieties.
Right next door is an ice-cream parlor.
Come to Arbroath 2 or 3 times a year and always used the closest chip shop, we checked Google reviews and gave Marcos a try.
Wow, superb fish and chips, fritters were the best. I would say this was the best fish supper I have had, I have had a lot!

This has come a long way again, used to be my favourite chippy they hit a bit of a flop at one point but buck up to top tier fish and chips, ice cream is expensive but you get what you pay for.
Great chippy and prices not bad. Always freshly cooked in front of you!
Best fish supper I've ever had...go to Arbroath on holiday every year but also do the odd day trip just to get my fish, chips and tartre sauce....
