We had a group on voucher for this pub,we had a lovely meal,very friendly and good service,we Sat in the bar with a nice log fire! Would recommend the double cooked egg for a starter.
We got bought a Groupon Voucher and what a little Gem of a place! The value for money with the food was excellent although not a huge selection there was still plenty of variety to appeal to everyone's tastes.
For a busy Friday night and the owners themselves waiting on the tables as well as the bar we were still served promptly.
The owners are very friendly, a lovely relaxed atmosphere with plenty of little cubbies to have an intimate dinner or chat with friends. The food was amazing! Also the resident Labrador is gorgeous. A real homely feel and sense of community. I shall be recommending this to family and friends and looking forward to another visit!
Great homely pub, lovely staff and amazing food! The mash we got with our roast was delicious! Definitely recommended.
Myself and hubby just wanted to say if you are after a quiet country pub with friendly owners and simple yet deliciously home made food then look no further than here. Roast Beef with all the trimmings and Apple tart and cream!! One of the best Sunday Lunches I've ever had. Service out of this world. Such a lovely atmosphere really homely we'll be back soon!

Super nice pub off the beaten track, worth stopping in for a drink and a bite. I had a tasty sirloin and my friends had burgers and fillet steak. Really satisfying meals with well priced wines and beers. Recommend this place though was a very quiet night when we visited. 👍🙂
Very lovely, well appointed country pub. Very warm, inviting staff, and well looked after in both food and drink. Certainly a stopping point for anyone nearby.

Just spoke to my lovely Mum in law. Gave her and her partner a Groupon gift meal for this pub. They used it yesterday evening and said that the meal was very nice and the staff were friendly too. Lovely little traditional pub.
Really good food. The sirloin steak is perfect. The pasta carbonara is really delicious. The chicken burger is very good. The chef really takes pride in the food he prepares and you can tell. All made fresh per order.
We popped in late in the evening as it was a place we knew from a few years ago to see if there were any one knew. We were made
very welcome and there were people who we remembered and they remembered us that really made our evening. Our drinks we had were served well and pleasantly welcoming, we will return to see if we can catch up with those who we missed
Lovely pub less than 5 mins from A420. Landlord was very kind when we stopped in while traveling to Somerset. Warm log fire and even warmer welcome was just perfect. Thank you very much.

It's a pleasant country pub. I go there once a month when two related singing groups meet up after their rehearsals. We're quite noisy, in a sort of musical way, but haven't been thrown out yet :-)
Another superb Sunday luncheon along with real ale thoroughly enjoyed. Well done Colin and Alison (not forgetting Henry). I would definitely recommend, and expect to be back soon.
We had lunch there on a cold cloudy Saturday. It's cozy and warmed by a real fireplace. Food was good and we were well assisted by the owner.
Quality pub food at affordable prices - service with a smile - been there several times always good. House wine is a bit naff. Beer is good
