We stayed at 'The Moors Inn' this week. Arrived on Saturday and left today being Friday. The staff were on point, absolutely fantastic. The Accomadation was great, clean and tidy. Lovely hot powerful shower too. We were a little sceptical about staying at a pub with the noise but it's not that sort of pub... It's a small
local pub in a tiny picturesque village.
Now let me tell you about the offer. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast is very very good in terms of selection.
The food. Absolutely first class. Nothing was too much of a challenge for the chef and team. Having stayed there for the week we pretty much had everything on the menu. It's first class food and I'm sure would warrant an award.
Appleton Le Moors is only 8 miles from Pickering where you are able to jump on the NYM steam railway. It's 30 mins to the place where 'Heartbeat' was filmed and close to Scarborough and York City Centre.
There are some lovely walks out from the Moors Inn too.
Thank you to all the staff. We will definitely be back and enjoyed our stay.:)))))
Fantastic Restaurant Generous Menu every item we've had has been geourgeous in both portion and flavor, the Pub is Wonderfully Warm with lovely staff and an open fire. Highly recommend you make this a must stop when visiting the Moors.
Just got back after a fantastic couple of nights stay at this lovely inn ... food was heaven on a plate ... had the best steak pie ever wow it was lush ☺ very highly recommend a stay and we will be going back ☺
Staying this weekend. Cannot fault. Room a bit noisy, as above the bar, but we were warned beforehand, and it's not intolerable. Very friendly, well cooked food. Would recommend and definitely return
Thanks all, 6 of us stayed 15 - 17 Sep for a weekend of mountain biking on the Moors, made us Very welcome, super food & great ale. We headed out onto the Moors on Saturday morn after a hearty breakfast for a full days riding returning to friendly staff, providing water for a bike wash down. Sat night involved a charity event with live bands & crackin food. Friendly inn with lots of character.

We are staying in the village for 2 weeks, looking for a house to rent . We had a superb meal New Years Day evening, food exceptional, staff very pleasant and helpful. Decor very tasteful and very clean . Highly recommend. We will be visiting again before we leave..
Really friendly pub, both clientele and staff. Great choice on the menu and superb food supplied. Totally recommended.
Amazing place fantastic food lovely staff had a lovely day can't wait to return
We stayed three nights at the Moors Inn and had a lovely time. The staff is very friendly, the rooms excellent and I loved the breakfast. Pubs are changing these days, and to me the Moors Inn has found the perfect combination of inn & restaurant, while still perfectly holding on to its function as a local pub. Well done! The location of the Moors Inn means it is a perfect starting point to discover the Yorkshire Moors.
great ambience, lovely setting, good food, drink and first class rooms and service. It’s the first time I have been in this area and was impressed with it’s natural beauty
Fantastic food with great staff and a lovely country pub will definitely be going back
Absolutely BRILLIANT! The best place to stay by far. Thanks guys for making my 60th the best. Third visit coming soon once I've finished the books Andy gave me.

A lovely pub selling great real ales . We stopped for a sandwich at lunchtime ...delicious! A sunny patio and large garden are a delight ..
Recommended to us when we visited the Coop at kirbymoorside .
We then popped in on our wAy back to low bell hand farm .
The host couldn't do enough , the food had stopped at 2.30 pm but the chief agreed to cook at 2.45 pm
The stout ale was creamy and the landlord was attentive would visit again
Next Saturday
Fantastic meal, for our early wedding anniversary meal. Thank you so much.x
Great place to eat after a good walk or hectic day out. The food was quick, delicious and great value. The steak pie and chips was hand made and just so nice. Although we turned up without a reservation the staff managed to fit us in. Very friendly staff.
What a GREAT, traditional village pub. Well, with additional modern extras. The food we had was great and the ale perfect. Staff were extremely friendly as were the locals.
Booked again for Wednesday.

A real pub in rural North Yorkshire, made to feel welcome and had a good atmosphere.
As a family of 6 , We had an evening meal. The service was prompt and friendly.
The food was of a high standard, between us we had a variety of starters, mains and desserts. All of which was piping hot, well presented and enjoyed by all.
I would definitely recommend the Moors Inn.
Moors Inn was recommended to us while we were staying in Kirkbymoorside as a place to eat.
The starter was fabulous and the main was exceptional, could not fault it at all. Compliments to Chef and the staff also. Great service.
I had heard of this place and so went for a meal with an acquaintance. The place was cosy. Not busy and so seating was no problem. We sat by the open fire. The beer was great so I am told, I was nit drinking due to driving. The food selection was very good. The specials were great. We had the venison. It was cooked perfectly. Presentation and service was great. The food went down well and was very filling.overall a great afternoon out with good food and good company.
Great location to discover Nth York moors. Rooms excellent, as was service and all staff. Good beers and food. Excellent steak and mushroom pie, best I've had.
My partner & myself came here on Saturday 20th January for our lunch at 1pm. We walked into a beautiful little bar with an open fire. The friendly staff member welcomed us & took us to our table in the restaurant area. We both had haggis & black pudding stack in peppercorn sauce for a starter. It was delicious. For the main course, my partner had the prawn & salmon parcel with salad. I had the cod loin with prawns in sauce, along with veg & beef dripping chips. The food was beautiful! We shared a bottle of white wine between us. Needless to say, we're both coming back. You need to give it a try.
What a great place to eat set in a wonderful village. Great staff very friendly
We were just passing and deciding to stop and were not disappointed
Welcoming and friendly team running it. Friendly customers. Dog friendly. Good food. Good ale. Comfortable and clean rooms. We will continue to use.
Staff, food, accommodation were fantastic. Live music on the Sunday evening whilst we were there was a real pleasant experience. A really popular pub where pet dogs are allowed. The food was outstanding. I can honestly say we will be returning to stay again.…. highly recommended
