Visited this delightful tea rooms with a beautiful garden at the rear. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. To look at this tea rooms you would not think there was this beautiful garden to sit in. Fully recommend you try this when visiting Appledore.

Visited today after spending the morning crabbing. The children's meal deal was very good value allowing them to have a drink, lovely fresh sandwich and a massive cake. The food was delicious as was the gluten free muffin we had and all excellent value. Will definitely be returning.

Visited 3rd July 2017. 7 adults 1 toddler and three dogs. No hesitation in finding us a table in the delightful garden. Food was fantastic, high tea you must have, cream tea recommended and the cake was lovely. Treats for the dogs. Such a great find in little Appledore. Staff were really friendly. Going to tell all the other grockles about it.

A lovely cafe with a beautiful garden & relaxed atmosphere. Great food too - fabulous doorstep sarnies - yum! Also benefits from being in a sheltered side street so is ususlly a bit cooler than cafes on the Quay...

My wife and I visited Market Street Kitchen today for the first time since it changed from Susies last year. The food was absolutely superb. I had Tuna Mayonnaise sandwiches with salad and crisps. Probably one of the nicest sandwiches I've ever tasted. Alison had Brie and Bacon toasties and we shared a cream tea. All whilst sat in the garden in the sunshine. A real treat.

Amazing place, I visited with the local Gig rowers after their training session, the hot chocolate was a new experience for me, very quirky and fabulous in flavor.

A friend booked for high tea for my birthday and it was lovely. The food was delicious, atmosphere great and even better was not being rushed off the table even though there was a steady stream of people in through the door.. It was our table for the afternoon which meant it was super chilled. And from what I gather having not paid, my friend said extremely good value for money!! She is also gluten free, so part of the high tea was made especially for her to eat, sandwiches and cakes!! Brilliant afternoon. Thanks :)

Breakfast with the family. It ended up being a little more expensive than I thought. But it was tremendous all round. Not just another generic breakfast. The scrambled eggs had buttery character, the sausage was delicious and the toast was super thick sliced bread. Not just your supermarket bought rubbish. Also the cutlery was sturdy and good quality and the staff super friendly. A fixture in my top 10 U.K. breakfasts

Staff were welcoming and friendly. We sat outside as the weather was nice. Food is a little expensive for what you get but that's probably how it is with cost of living. Can't fault and would return. Pretty garden at the back and I loved the character of the place. Appledore is a childhood favourite of mine and this place was lovely.

So glad to have discovered this lovely welcoming cafe in Appledore. All the staff were friendly and thank you to one lady in particular who was very understanding of our large nervous dog, she let us sit in the corner and made us feel really welcome. The tea, coffee and cakes were delicious, just the little afternoon pick me up we needed after a long day walking. We hope to visit again when we’re in the area ☺️ thank you.

Josie and staff are super friendly, helpful and always accommodating. The food is delicious and fresh and the garden and ‘shed’ are an absolute bonus. Prices are reasonable unlike some other establishments in the area who charge eye watering prices!!!! Definitely worth a visit if in Appledore.

After a nice walk around Appledore we stopped in this lovely little cafe for a cream tea. The scones were really nice and fresh and plenty of cream and jam and a nice big pot of tea for my husband and myself to share. Lots of nice paintings on the walls in the cafe, which are for sale and are by local artists I believe, there was also a nice selection of teas and jams for sale. The cafe is dog friendly, overall a really nice place with very friendly staff.

I get the whole “Devon food not fast food” written on the wall, but it really shouldn’t take 50 minutes to get from walking in the door to having lunch in front of you. Guessing they were short staffed or something. The food was really tasty once it arrived, and their hot chocolate was a genuinely great one.

Lovely tea rooms with kind and friendly staff. The tables inside looked good but we walked through to the pretty terraced garden and sat in the warm autumn sunshine. There's plenty to choose and some tempting specials too. We'd stopped in for a cream tea but were a little hungry. We spotted the perfect option, half a sandwich and a scone. Delicious and well priced
