This place gave me the best meal of my life. We were staying at Eaglerock in Applecross and came here for dinner. The cauliflower and cheddar soup was the best soup I’ve ever put in my mouth! So rich and deep with flavors. The duck confit melted in my mouth and the sticky toffee pudding was delightfully spongy and sweet. Thank you for an amazing meal that I will not likely soon forget.
Our 1st trip to the Highlands, how lucky were we to find this gem of a place. It was our 30th Wedding anniversary & we fancied something special. Both ordered seafood linguini, it was the best I'd ever had, utterly delicious. For dessert wine poached pear, delicious also. Lovely place and a delightful garden too. Highly recommend xx

Delicious from start to finish. You would make our ladies group so happy if you'd share your recipe for cauliflower cheddar soup. Please tell your fisherman Jon, that was the best seafood platter on planet earth.
Lovely place in a lovely setting, excellent menu. Don't usually go for pasta dishes but the seafood linguini sounded good, glad I did because it was delicious, loved it. Highly recommend the Walled Garden, and also before I forget, the prices were very reasonable.
Love love love the walled garden, a lovely venue with amazing local produce, the menu is varied and interesting and always top notch. The addition of the fruit, veg and deli counter is a great addition to the community and visitors alike. An absolute must if your lucky enough to be in Applecross.
Amazing wee place! Beautiful gardens and an amazing atmosphere, staff attentive and very friendly and welcoming. Food was very well presented and tasted amazing!
We had dinner. The food was excellent. Ordered from their specials for the day and their dinner menu. Not sure what their all day menu is like.
Go early as the place fills up fast. Or make prior reservations.
Lovely place fantastic food friendly efficient staff.....well worth a visit......we do everytime were in Applecross
Fantastic food and great service, would highly recommend visiting the shop in the back where local produce is sold. The Walled Garden pesto was very tasty!
Excellent dinner in lovely surroundings. Returned for breakfast, equally good even in the rain
Good menu, not overly complicated but well designed and executed. Great specials. Always a pleasure to eat here.
The freshest salad with the best hot and cold smoked salmon I have tasted all with home made bread. The chocolate brownie, carrot cake and coffee were to die for. Thank you.
Hands down the most relaxing place to eat in Applecross if not the UK. Fantastic Seafood when on the menu and very friendly team. Lobster and Mussles are amazing.
Was there in August with my partner and my niece. Blown away by how great it is. We had takeaway pizzas to die for one night and a lunch the next day that was superb!!!!
Had a lovely drive from Sheildag to Applecross, stopped at the lovely beach about a mile before Applecross walled garden - lovely setting, my hubby had pork schnitzel and I had soup, great food, lovely gardens and some cattle and deer in the fields- highly recommended from the Beecham's. Perfect sustenance before the hair raising drive ahead!
Amazing day out at Applecross Walled Garden. The garden itself although small is packed to the brim with fruit and veg and lots of interesting shrubs and flowers. Beautifully kept paths and seating areas. We had lunch at the restaurant which was absolutely delicious, everything tasted so fresh, its literally from garden to plate. There are small dishes or main meals on the special board, also a lovely selection of cocktails, wine and beers. Though do save some space for dessert, really delicious. After lunch we did a large circuit walk around the estate behind the gardens, where you will find good paths and clear signposts. Lots of deer all around the area too. A fantastic day out, parking and entry to gardens are free but highly recommend you stop to eat here too. Staff were very friendly and attentive also.
What a lucky find! I do hope you take the time to stop and eat or even just freely browse the garden. The food and people are lovely! It might help visitors to know: nothing outside really tells you if it’s open, and the closed gate often catches people stood before it looking for a sign. Similarly, inside it’s not clear how the whole ordering process works. So here it is: it’s a tapas menu, with items costing around £6 to £8 each and a suggestion you order 3-4 plates each. For us, 3 was too much food! You’ll want to head to the counter first and specify if you’re visiting for drinks or a meal, and you’ll be directed towards a table and given a menu if applicable. Come back to the counter to give your order, along with your table number. You won’t need to pay till you’re ready to leave. At that point just return to the counter and let them know you’re ready to pay.
Absolutely delicious dinner. We went a bit mad and had; Chicken Tikka Skewers, Lamb, Pork Belly (our favourite), and the Meatballs, as well as the Patatas Bravas and Mixed Roast Veg sides. The homemade bread was gorgeous. Finished with Eton Mess and Chocolate Mousse. Can’t recommend enough!
Literally in a walled garden on the grounds of an estate. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent. Reservations are recommended.
This place is magical! I cannot say enough good things about it. From the friendly staff to the beautiful ambiance to the delicious food...this was the BEST lunch stop we could have hoped for. Their tapas menu has such a variety of items and I enjoyed everything we ordered. Here is what we ordered starting with my most favorite items: slow cooked pork belly, lamb skewers, crispy fried gnocchi (neber had anything like this and they were so yummy!), chicken tikka skewers, antipasti (the blue cheese was perfection), vegetable gyoza, and crisps. It was all so good! It did get quite busy so I was glad we had called ahead to make a reservation. Don't miss this place!
Scallop and squid was delicious. We had 3 sharing plates and 2 sides for two, and a cheesecake to celebrate my birthday. Thanks for the lovely and warm service!
What a gem of a place! We had a delicious feast made up of many of the small plates on offer, hard to choose but my favourites were the chicken skewers and the mac & cheese 🤤 The staff were so welcoming and friendly, The garden itself is beautiful and worth a wander around (though it was hard to move after so much yummy food!) We were lucky enough to have lovely weather so sat outside to enjoy our meal. Definitely worth a visit when in Applecross, be sure to reserve a table in advance as they book up quickly!
Amazing food in an even more amazing place, big garden beautifully maintained. We tried the fish and chips with the salmon linguine that were really good. If you want to try some gin try the raasay isle one with a splash of tonic.
If i return to applecross i'll go back there
This place was a real find. They do lovely tapas and we ordered far too may. But they boxed the excess up for us to take away.
Staff were lovely and the surrounding gardens are wonderful.
They encourage you to check availability through Facebook but we rang them and got a table for the same evening.
Lovely food served in a beautiful location, book a table to be sure you get in.
Several vegan and vegeterian options.
Lovely place. Great service.
Beautiful place, a little fraught, with staff doing their best to fulfill customer needs, but great.
Enjoyed thoroughly and would suggest it for anyone in Applecross.
Such a Dreamy place for a home cooking styled meal! We were delighted to eat here 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed in the area. The staff were so lovely and warm, the food was delicious, and the ambience was so cute and romantic. Totally recommend after a day of hiking, driving and or just because.
Definitely book a reservation and also give yourself plenty of time to get there if you are not through the Applecross Pass yet!
Beautiful Resturant and garden. I would recommend making a reservation the place get packed really quick. If it was not for the locals I wouldn't have found this space and was lucky to get a table. The staff is a very friendly bunch, and the service was really quick. After dining its good to have walk in the garden.
Walking into the garden you don't feel as though it's just a restaurant experience. The beautiful garden the restaurant sits in was gorgeous and made it feel like more than just a lunch stop. The highland cow burger and the fish and chips were huge hits for several of our party of eight. Thanks so much for a memorable meal and a beautiful little oasis.
Beautiful gardens, a real asset to the area. Food in the cafe was delicious and it was real nice to be eating the gardens produce. Good vegetarian and vegan options. Aside from the fresh food the cafe was unfortunately lacking. The cake was badly presented and did not look fresh and the orange juice I ordered tasted cheap and like it was from concentrate. Which was a shame as the rest of our experience was lovely. A good cafe but has the potential to be great.
Incredible place. Really fab food and atmosphere and dog friendly!
A lovely hidden gem. We loved the garden itself, very pretty, yet left a little wild in places. The cafe on site is fantastic. We popped in intending to have a coffee after a hearty bacon roll earlier in the day. The coffees were fantastic-some of the best of our trip. Whilst enjoying them in the sunshine we saw some of the food on offer and made room for a light lunch. Both options were fantastic, the seafood salad in particular was beautiful, a refreshing change in an otherwise carb heavy trip!
Beautiful setting, tucked away en route to Applecross Path. A friendly bunch. Welcomed like locals. Amazing home cooked food from the garden. Organic. Rich in flavour. A gift shop and garden centre (small) on site. And great coffee too. Perfect for lunch or dinner or a quick coffee before you carry on your travels.
