4 of us Went for an early evening meal on Mother’s Day. Really cosy dog friendly country pub with live sports and seperate dining area. Were served by the friendly owners and were served good quality freshly cooked pub grub with generous portions. Highly recommend the steak pie with mash and gravy, burgers also are very good quality with proper homemade chips.
Excellent choice of two cask ales, very well kept. Dog friendly. Very good pub food, we had the special which was the steak ale pie & a chicken burger. Both came with hand cooked chips & fesh veg/salad. Phil & Sam the owners are just wonderful, lovely welcome and excellent service.

Great food since they restarted it. Nice ales on tap and a brilliant atmosphere and set of staff.
The live music nights are fantastic and a must if you want to get out of the house.
Had a great meal here tonight with friends. A lovely warm welcome and the feeling of a proper local pub. Good tasty pub food. Will definitely return and can fully recommend.
Great little pub. Fantastic food and brilliant beers and also super friendly locals and owners. We thoroughly enjoyed an evening meal in here whilst on holiday. The atmosphere is fantastic: very friendly without being overbearing at all - it was great chatting to a number of the locals. Dog friendly as well. Exactly what we look for in a pub and if we're ever back in the area will be returning.
Our second visit this year to this lovely pub while staying close by.

We enjoyed a superb three course Christmas meal here; expertly cooked, great portion size, very reasonable price, fab hosts and a lovely festive atmosphere - absolutely faultless!
A great local pub that serves real home made food. Roaring fire and very welcoming owners. Happily recommend.

What a little jewel in the beautiful countryside this pub is. Landlord and landlady are so so friendly and welcoming, and the pub is bright and comfy. If dining the food is excellent. Well worth a visit.. we’ll definitely go back again.
