I've meant to go here for years and finally took the plunge, and I'm so glad I did. Eating in with friends and family, the food was awesome, the service was friendly and efficient without being over the top, and an atmosphere that is relaxed and unhurried. Definitely going there again....many times

This is such an asset to our town and community, as well as a draw for tourists. It is always busy, and no doubt would still be even if it was open 7 days a week! The food is wholesome, so tasty and delivered with the warmest of service.

Fantastic venue for a coffee and cake break or even more substantial fare. But a pre loved book from the large selection for a couple of pounds which helps those not as able as we were . I loved it .

We've had lunch here 4 times and it's always been delicious. The staff are so warm and friendly and make us and our dog very welcome. A credit to Appleby and definitely our go-to place when we visit the town.

Perfect place for coffee, brunch, lunch. Good food, lovely friendly staff.

This was a group lunch. We had 3 courses of excellent quality food. James the chef was great as always.

Great place for food and coffee

Cafe has moved and is now a lot bigger. Called in for tea and cake. Very nice and good value. Book and gift shop nice, in same building. Ramp access, Disabled wc available. Steps between car park and entrance but possible to get round on the road.

We popped in to see what was going on, came out 2hrs later. Enjoyed looking and purchasing from the craft stalls. Then had gorgeous feta olive oregano scone and cake. Lovely seating areas and table n chairs. Lovely lady in craft shop as well as lovely chatty tea room staff.
