Absolutely amazing service. We were first time visitors to Appleby and came to the restaurant after food had stopped being served. They made us a beautiful meal despite this and made us feel very welcome. The owners are a lovely couple and I would definitely go back. Thank you so much for saving our anniversary xxx

Thank you so much for a lovely evening.. Such a warm and friendly welcome given to us, outstanding home made food and excellent service. Your food is simply scrumptious my mouth waters just thinking about it. You both made us feel so special rembering that we had been earlier on in the year, thank you. We will see you both next year as We will be back :-)

I found the pub in Hoff to be quiet 🤫 warm and comfortable. The proprietors very pleasant and the atmosphere good, enables you and your group to be able to chat. Without loud music or slot machines in the back ground. The pub is recommended for its menu and quality of food. There's a car park and outside seating.

Parked our campervan for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. We met up with some friends, and played some music for an appreciative local audience. Had a lovely Sunday lunch too.

Lovely welcome and beautiful setting. The food was delicious homemade Sunday Roast. Reasonably priced too. Landlords are very friendly and their terrier is just gorgeous and a lovely host too! 🥰

Just a few short miles out of Appleby in Westmoreland en route to Tebay lies the settlement of Hoff and the Hoff Inn . Don't drive/walk on by , call in and meet the friendly owners for a memorable refreshment stop . Well worth it, great food and drink in a wonderful 16th century Inn on the Drovers route. Marvellous.

Great hosts good food. Open all day Wednesday to Sunday. Made to feel very welcome at this little oasis. Dog friendly, seats outside. Have no hesitation in recommending. Photos are on a walk from the pub in Hoff.

OK, this pub is small but has the biggest and best service. Furthermore the food. Its fantastic, the menu is changed daily, the cook is well made, extremely tasty and well presented,. Definitely worth a visit. Prices are fair too. Oh and for those attached to their phones, the signal is poor so you may find you have to talk to each other instead of texting 😀😀😂

Had a lovely day here and we parked our camper across the road in car park. Dog friendly. Nice walk along river...food was all home cooked and very good. Reasonably priced and lovely owners. Special mention to doggies...very well behaved.

Excellent little-known (by tourists at least) Cumbrian free house. Friendly staff and locals. Well kept ales and good, honest pub grub too the latter of which is locally sourced as much as possible.
