We've visited this beautiful bay many times and had lovely ice cream from The Boathouse kiosk but today we thought we'd dine at the restaurant and have an early dinner, we weren't disappointed. Beautiful food. I had the Pan Fried Salmon and my partner had the Steak & Ale pie. Tasty and good portions. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the surroundings/decor are beautiful. There's lots of [mostly under cover] outside seating too. It can get busy in the evening during high season so I recommend you book a table. We walked in today at 2:30pm (week day) and there were plenty of tables. The kitchen closes at four for a reset before evening service. Excellent.

I came in on Saturday 19th for food with my wife and another couple for my birthday, my friend/colleague is also a chef and I'm a manager back in Manchester. However, we all loved the food and the service was amazing. To the surprise of the others around the table I even tried some new food as I'm a fussy eater, but again the monk fish tacos didn't let me down at all. The food was also that good that both myself and my wife went in on the 23rd for lunch for our wedding anniversary, and yet again the food was just as good as Saturday night.... Needless to say you've certainly opened my eyes to certain food, we will definitely be seeing you again... Anyone, that reads this review I'd definitely recommend that you book as the food is that good....

Came here for dinner as a walk in and were able to get a table - the outside tables are reserved for walk ins (all indoor tables were fully booked). The staff were super friendly and you were made to feel relaxed with no time hassle. the food was excellent - a big choice of different fish dishes with generous portions, especially the seafood platter. They were able to adapt some of them to be gluten free - always a bonus for us.

2years I've lived in UK. My family and I have been looking for a proper seafood place. Everytime we try to find seafood in North Wales, almost all options are just fish and chips. This is the best and only place we ate a proper seafood. The servings are big. Staff was so accomodating, friendly and efficient. Food was ready on a reasonable time, the plating was pleasing to the eyes. The seafood is fresh and the pasta is sumptous! We ordered the seafood platter and the chowder in it was amazing. One of my daughter doesn't eat seafood much but the food here at the boathouse changed her mind. The ambience is instagram worthy. Drinks are cold during a hot day. Toilets are clean. Linguini is just *chefs kiss*... we plan to go back there again.

We came across the Boat House by accident and ended up eating there both nights on our holiday! First night outside and second inside. Service was great even when outside (Sometimes you get forgotten when outside but not here.) I had the same crab and prawn linguine on both nights it was that nice. I also tried the seafood chowder and a couple of desserts- all great. Lovely wine too. My son was so pleased you had sausage and chips for him as that’s his favourite! We both can’t wait to come back ASAP

We had a lovely meal today at the Boathouse. Although they were busy they were still happy to accomodate us. My wife had the chicken ceaser salad that she really enjoyed and I had a large portion of the seafood chowder. It was stunning. One of the nicest dishes ive eaten for a good while! The atmosphere was really nice and Im very happy to reccommend the Boathouse.

Stopped here today for some lunch and it was thoroughly enjoyable! The food was delicious, the portion sizes were generous and the staff were all lovely. Sat outside with our dog as they aren't allowed in the restaurant but she got fuss and attention from the staff so she was happy. Some other lovely guests that we had a nice chat too. Would definitely recommend, so many delicious meals to choose from on the menu! Situated right next to the beach so some lovely views despite the windy/rainy weather.

Will forever have a special place in my heart this place, not been for about 15yrs and it's better than I remember. We dined 2 nights in a row as the first dinner was so good. Fish pie and the moules are exceptional, the most fantastic treat after a day of trekking the coastal path round the area. We were very grateful to be squeezed in for a last minute booking on both occasions. We luckily got a table outside on our last evening, the weather was just glorious and the ambience of the seating area is perfect. The staff were superbly accommodating and we had 2 wonderful evenings with them. Cannot recommend this place more highly!

It all depends on expectations, of course, but this small café & restaurant was recommended to us by a local as an atmospheric place to have a great meal and they weren't wrong. We were celebrating a birthday while on our on-going coastal tour and treated ourselves to three courses of well cooked food. I had a few gluten-free options; the mussels followed by fish pie was a good choice. Highly recommended but make sure you book in the high season.

Excellent food, dog friendly, good atmosphere and views.... but service was so very slow. Was there 40 mins before waitress finally came to take our order, food was worth the wait though.
