We popped in here today for a late lunch and we were very impressed!
We've lived in the area for almost 3 years and I wish we'd visited sooner!
The menu on the for enticed us in. We were going to have some lunch options to keep it lighter.
The decor was really authentic and all the vintage signage and lighting made it your surroundings very interesting.
We sneaked a glimpse at the main menu... We were sucked in by all the mouthwatering items on the menu. I had Bubba's BBQ shrimp and my husband choose the low n slow beef brisket. Super tasty!
We were pleased with the waiting staff. They greeted us weekly, seated us quickly, brought us menus and took our orders promptly. I also liked that they didn't bother us while we were eating. I hate that, usually mid mouthful. Overall, I'd highly recommend here for lunch. I imagine you'd be recommended to book for an evening but it'd be well worth it.
We'll visit again soon!
Visited later this afternoon with my 2 children, it was a bit tricky to find but well worth it. Awesome food and very attentive staff (but not the 'in your face' type) love the decor too! The kids meals were a very good size unlike many places we've visited and they loved them. It's got a very warm welcoming feel to it which is only enhanced as it grows darker and the lights glow inside. Will definitely visit when back this way again and recommend that others do to, as it will not disappoint. A real hidden gem :)
We were the only one people in there to start with but it was 5pm on a Sunday. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough and the food was great! I had mac & cheese with bacon, highly recommend. The only issue was the garlic bread, it was done on wholemeal with seeds, very thick and did not taste of garlic. I think this needs to be changed but otherwise a great meal.
Wow. So a year ago I proposed to my now wife and we tackled the Mates Platter as our engagement meal. That was an absolute beast and we are pleased to say we got the meat sweats. A year later and we arrived back for our mini moon meal. We had a starter each...the onion bootlaces which is a lovely snack and I had 12 chicken wings with the Rock and roll sauce. Now I love a kick...and I mean a kick. This was enough of a kick to satisfy my spice pallet but not so spicy that I will regret it tomorrow. And it's full chicken wings...not the little bits you get in asda chicken bites. On a side note I should have got 6 wings having seen the size of the ribs after (I even contemplated getting garlic bread) so glad I didn't. The ribs were huge. Now I like a portion...I pride myself having eaten at 3 of the man vs food places but these ribs really did give me a challenge with the sides of fries, coleslaw and corn on the cob. Needless to say whenever we come back here will will always come back and smash a ton of meat. Oh and the bar man was sound. He offered a taste of all 3 ales before I bought. Excellent service and brilliant time.
Great food.. great service great wine.. could not have been better.. a hidden gem
Gorgeous food and huge portions. They were having problems with a new till system on the evening we visited which resulted in a bit of a delay but staff were very apologetic and gave 10% off. Would definitely go back
Impressed! Fantastic service and food. The staff could not have done more to accommodate a wheel chair user, 8 adults and a 4 year old’s birthday without a prior booking. Absolutely brilliant staff. Tasty food; priced reasonably. We will return.
First time here. My hubby has wanted to try for ages and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and I love the place itself! Definitely be coming back.
Great place with great service and food, steak to die for
