Gorgeous pub serving a good range of gluten-free pub meals, including indulgent puddings. Highly recommend the fish and chips and sticky toffee pud. While the place was busy, the service was also excellent.
Lovely gastropub with great food and friendly, attentive service. It's nicely set out and very comfortable inside, and there are nice outdoor seating areas for sunnier days. They have a childrens menu and there is a park with a small playground accessible from the back of the car park for them burn
My wife and I went for a bite to eat for lunch and without making a reservation. Even though many tables were reserved. The staff quickly found us somewhere to sit. The service was a little bit slow, but then we did arrive at 12.10 so they had likely take. Several lunch orders before ours. The staf
We've been coming here for many years, and it's always been fantastic. The food is always and still remains wonderful. The portions are big, and the choice of starters and nibbles are so delicious. It's always a hard one to pick as having a main course. Your eyes can get bigger than the belly. ( Don
We recently had lunch at the Grosvenor Arms for the first time in years. The food, service, and atmosphere was great. I can't think of a way that it could have been improved. We had the Lamb keema shepherds pie and Braised shoulder of lamb followed by two mini puddings (Tiramasu and Mini sticky t
Visited yesterday evening, the atmosphere was lively as usual. Ordered two starters and two mains, the Fish & Chips and the Steak Burger, both were absolutely delicious. The fish was so fresh and perfectly cooked, the burger really juicy. There were a nice selection of ales and wines. Service was go
We had a great experience eating here recently. The menu is imaginative and has something for everyone; there were vegetarian and gluten-free options and the service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend.
Our table booking hadn't been registered, but we were accommodated anyway. All four of us enjoyed our food, and the service was exemplary. It was busy, but not overwhelming, and we were able to enjoy a delicious meal in relaxing surroundings.
Lovely festive atmosphere to enjoy delicious food served by friendly staff. 3 of us had the turkey dinner which was great apart from the sprouts which were hard. The other 3 had the lamb shank which was, amazing as always. The Christmas pudding was one of the best I've EVER had.
This place is a countryside gem of a pub. The staff are friendly and attentive. The venue is amazing with a lovely, sprawling outdoor garden and patio - great for dogs! (Who are also allowed inside - woof). And if you ask at the bar, they will give your dog treatos. Nice selection of ales on tap.
Awesome meal had here...also heritage place
There were so many amazing dishes on the menu tonight that we struggled to choose what to have! One of our party needed gluten free options and there was loads of choice. All our food was just delicious and we agreed it was the best menu we'd seen for ages. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We ha
A lovely setting for lunch or dinner, it has very good food at standard prices. You can get light bites or a full meal. Service was good and pleasant, just not outstanding. I would certainly go here again! Our bill total included drinks, so the cost per person was just slightly higher.
Lovely experience at the Grosvenor Arms for my friend's baby shower. Slight issue on arrival due to a double booking but that was rectified quickly and efficiently. Service was good as was the food. Would recommend.
Great atmosphere, lovely old building split into separate rooms with a conservatory, the service was excellent always asking if we required anymore drinks ,food arrived quickly and was very tasty ,there was 8 of us and everyone left very happy
overall a lovely meal! we did think the prices though were a little on the high side. But as it was our anniversary it was a nice treat. Vanessa was a very professional and friendly server. We will be back though :-)
Great fish and chips and an excellent selection of real ale. My wife had fishcakes and loved them. Really good food, warm welcome, speedy and efficient service, and all in a lovely building. Recommended.
Fantastic food in beautiful surroundings. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely character building, nice walking routes nearby and plenty of parking available. Will definitely be going back.
