Called into the Plough at lunchtime today for a bite to eat with my wife. We both ordered the beef burger and fries with coleslaw. What can I say, it was the best burger I had ever tasted, juicy, well seasoned and bursting with flavour. The skin on fries were crispy and very tasty and the coleslaw rounded off the meal nicely. We will most certainly return in the future - lovely meal, lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. Thank you.
Lovely pub in a quiet village location. Warm welcome, with happy smiling faces from all the staff. I must say, they were all attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We each had a two course meal with drinks.
The three of us had the same AMAZING main course - Gammon, Egg, Pineapple & Chips with a side of Garden peas each. Honestly, it’s the best gammon I’ve eaten, it was decent size and thickness and just melted in the mouth!

Last Sunday we met up with family and were lucky enough to have booked a table at this little gem of a place. The manager Ray right from the moment we arrived was friendly and accommodating, the staff were so helpful nothing was too much trouble the food was absolutely delicious congratulations to the chef Billy. The pub/restaurant itself was comfortable and clean and the tables were a good distance apart from others, I don’t know anyone who likes to sit on top of strangers whilst eating. The ladies toilets were so clean and the little touches were lovely. Also it was lovely to have disabled access in the form of a ramp for wheelchair users. If there is anything I can say that I feel needed looking at would be to get some long life sugar free oat or almond milk so everyone who needs a dietary requirement can enjoy a latte at the end of their meal other than that we felt that this was one of the best pub restaurants we have ever been to and even though we live in Devon so 3 hours away we will be back, it’s the perfect meeting place to catch up with family who live the opposite end of the country.
