Really nice pub. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. You can enter from the common lane behind it and the main road. Beer was cold. Toby jugs were in evidence. Had a pleasant pint out in the beer garden and a good time was had by all. Even the dog impersonating a bird.

This pub has just been taken over by the lovely Vicki and Tony. It is so full of olde world charm, with lovely beams and sloping floor. It’s gorgeous, just so quirky! The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the garden is beautiful, with a little wooden bridge going over the river to the cricket pitch. Amazing location.

I love this pub. Very local as opposed to the big one up the road. Very friendly staff and good service. Food menu is not massive but good value, and has something for everyone. The beer garden is lovely, with a nice view over to the cricket pitch across the stream. Definitely worth a visit!

If you want an authentic pub with a local feel then The Eagle ticks the boxes. It is simply a proper pub with quality beers served by warm friendly welcoming staff. What more do you want from a pub? The food offer is simple but tasty .. paninis, sandwiches and nachos a perfect supplement to a good pint. Plus it has a great garden overlooking the playing fields beyond. Perfect.

Great pub on old Amersham High Street. They have Thai food nights too, and the food is delicious and cheap, think it's Weds and Thursday but check on Trip Advisor.

When pubs had character. This is the place to be, with a great publican and a great rear garden complete with pub cat!

I booked this pub very randomly as I searched for a place that welcomed dogs. I must say I didn’t expect much (well, a pub with a beer garden innit), but we LOVED it. We visited on a Saturday and it turned out to be a BBQ day. The burgers were reaally good, nice crispy fries, delicious desserts made by the pub chef. Staff was really nice, attentive and friendly, they even gave treats to our dogs! I was surprised that this place wasn’t rammed on a nice and sunny Saturday, but I know I would come back again.

We had a party of three adults and three Children for Sunday lunch. The fish and chips looked good for the children and one had roast again good. My roast beef was good. The celeriac was very al dented and could have done with a little more flavour. The two waitresses did really well It was a nice afternoon

Such a friendly and amazing pub. On the beautiful Broadway Street and with a really nice garden at the back. Huge field at the back that can also be accessed directly. The food is great and served with a smile by the real friendly team. The owner himself came out and spoke to us and also told us he's got another pub at Wycombe. I look forward to visiting that on my next walk... And come here again too 🙂

A very genuine pub, the real McCoy. Good honest dishes and excellent professional service. Very good value for money. Do not go if you like some jus dripped on your plate around a small pile of unsatisfying bits. Go if you want to experience a real English pub with real food, authentic atmosphere and nice bar. Very authentic pub atmosphere.

Brilliant lunch at The Eagle. Genuinely best roast I've had in ages! Roast beef was superb as were the roasties, Yorkshire and particularly the massive chunk of braised cabbage. The service was also great. We were only visiting but I reckon I'd make the Eagle my local if I lived here.

Great fresh and tasty food. Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff. Great with Kids too. Had a lovely lunch here today, and as the pub backs on to a playing field, was able to take the kids across too.

This was our first visit to the Eagle on a quiet Wednesday at lunch time. We received a warm welcome and took a comfortable seat next to the front window. There was an interesting selection of food on the menu, the prices were reasonable and we received very prompt service. The food is sourced locally and freshly cooked - there was no choice of vegetables available, but we very much enjoyed our meals which were garnished with salad. The choice of puddings was limited, but of excellent quality. We will be back there next time we are looking for lunch in Amersham.
