Stopped off for lunch after touring the area. It was quiet when we were there, all table service but our order was taken quickly and the food didn't take long at all. I must say this is the largest fish I've ever been served, very generous portion sizes! Lovely steak and ale pie..
Very friendly staff. Excellent food and large portions. We had the mussels and whitebait to start - delicious! Also had the sea bass and the curry. Good ambience, lovely staff, great food. Definitely worth a visit or two.
Great place for an outdoor beer and food. All kind of audiences. Service was good but you have to order inside after 4-5pm I guess. Camembert was amazing.

Beautiful converted mill building. Staff friendly and as it was a Sunday there was a live singer on who was fantastic. Atmosphere brilliant and food was so good. Fish n chips for my partner and half a roast chicken Sunday dinner for me. This is the third time we've been and its always been great.
Food and service very good. We had a sandwich and fries and we both loved it, very reasonable priced and just incredibly tasty. Would definitely recommend and will visit again when we are next up there.
We only had a coffee ☕️ but looking at others, eating looked really good .the atmosphere was brilliant .Staff were pleasant, lovely, and coffee ☕️ break
Great food and a nice busy atmosphere. Traditional British style pub with the standard pub grub on offer. The beers were also very good. This can be a very busy place in peak holiday season and the staff cope with it very well. Good job. Keep it up.

Nice spot. Open only 2 or 3 years now. Our first time there. Beautiful outdoor dining. Nice set up and ambiance for a couple of floors for indoor dining as well. Good service. The King Crab, prawn, chorizo linguine was quite good. The lamb was also quite good. The Camembert cheese starter was a tasty start to our meal. A little pricy. Not an every night with the family restaurant, but reasonable for a special night out.
Great staff and drinks. There was a slight issue with my food but it was addressed promptly and politely, the staff went above and beyond to help me and were so friendly. Especially the waitress who served us (afternoon of the 23rd), a real credit to you!
A warm welcoming place with delicious food and nice choice of drinks. Perfect after a long rainy day of hiking. The old mill building is very interesting, with nicely adapted interior (and very close to the car park). The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had three nibbles to start (3 for £11 deal, 100% worth it) and they arrived very quickly and were very tasty. We were starving so that was great. The mains were even more delicious! I had butternut squash gnocchi which were awesome but it was a small portion and I think for the price there should be more gnocchi. The steak and ale pie my partner had was delicious too and the gravy and mash were absolutely amazing! We were too full for deserts. We will come back for sure.
We had a wonderful lunch here today. We were so looked after by the staff. The cheese and onion pie was to die for. The salad was delicious and also the soup. Such a lovely place. Thank you for having us.
We had the good fortune to experience this place both just before and during the amblefest beer festival. Before hand it was a nice chilled place to have a drink with good outdoor seating and heaters avaliable for most tables. During the festival the interior offered a quieter, warm space for us to sit after hours of standing. The atmosphere both times was jovial and warming; that perfect balance between hearing others conversations but not being drowned out by music or rowdy drunks. We didn't get to try the food in the end but what went past while we were sat inside looked amazing!
I couldn't get a picture that captured how good this burger was. It was so big and perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend this place.
