Lovely cafe! Staff can’t do enough for you!
I had a full breakfast, about £12/13. Lots of options for food and drink, perfect stop after a long rainy walk!
Visited here twice over the weekend, and had a great experience both times.
After wandering around Ambleside I popped in for a Chai Latte - which was delicious. Then I visited the next day with my son: where he was defeated by the enormous Sausage Bap! We both really enjoyed our Caramel Macchiatos too.
On both occasions I was warmly welcomed, and felt all the staff I encountered were very friendly. Service was quick, and I thoroughly enjoyed both of the drinks I had. My son was very impressed with the quality, and amount of sausages that were in his bap.
So although you might pay a little bit more than other establishments, I feel the price is justified.
Stopped for coffee and cake only. Friendly/quick service, tables were clean, background music pleasant (jazz) and it wasn't too busy (weekday lunchtime).
We loved the water dispenser by the entrance. There were small glasses available and we could help ourselves to free citrus flavoured chilled water (there were slices of orange, lemon and lime in the dispenser). It was really nice as we had just finished a walk, but hadn't taken any water with us so were pretty thirsty!
Wow👏 I enjoyed that… great service from the young lady that took my order and served us…👌
Called in after walking to Ambleside from Grasmere. Friendly staff, quick service (even though we were warned there may be a wait), excellent food and great drinks. We will definitely be back again.
Fantastic stop for lunch after our walk. Coffee tasted very good and the food was all fresh and very nice. Service was quick no complaints
Excellent service from all but particularly the gent making the coffees. Great breakfast and a brilliant way to start the day!
We're regular visitors to the lakes and have visited Esquires quite a few times. Called in for breakfast on 12th January and I had the best bacon bun I've had hence my finally posting a review. Lots of really good quality bacon cooked as I'd asked, crispy without being cremated! Well done the chef! My husband had eggs benedict which he really enjoyed but he had a bit of bacon butty envy!
I had a salted caramel brownie and freshly pressed apple juice, both were great but honestly expensive, but as a tourist town I get it. The service I got was friendly, although I wished that the owners of loudly barking dogs would have considered other customers more.
Great lunch here, lots to choose from on the menu. Really tasty Eggs Benedict and Pancake Stack, the portions are generous as well. The staff are really friendly and happy to have a chat.
