Lovely local pub with board games to play while you wait for your food.
The Partridge supreme was delicious. Everyone else enjoyed their meals except for the fish and chips which was rather greasy.
Great pub, we have eaten here many times over the years and for lunch and dinner this week on several occasions. The food is always well prepared, the beers well kept and the family running it are friendly with the service.

No issues with being a single diner. Limited menu but delicious veggie burger (asked for no sauce which they did and they gave me another pot of ketchup). Friendly staff, happy to check out what was in the burger and make changes . Music but not too loud. Cosy

We arrived at the red lion shortly before out check in time but they let us check in early which was great! Very friendly, had a 3yr old with us and staff were lovely. Games to play on hand if you fancy an evening of family fun too. Food excellent, cost reasonable. Will definitely go back.
Fabulous pub, had some lovely meals here in the past and always stop here for a pint at the end of a long walk.
Update: had the Sunday roast (Lamb) today. It was a perfect meal, every mouthful was a delight. The staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Lovely pub with traditional beams and oldy worldy feel! Great food, fish and chips were huge. Smashing staff. Particular praise to Craig our 'waitress!!' who provided some entertainment while we ate.
The girls and gentlemen in charge of bar reminded me of the good hospitality of the restaurant owners and service in Seville, they also have Cruzcampo Seville beer.
