Brilliant little cafe, I've been quite a few times it's one of them brilliant cafes that's a staple of Ambleside! They have a nice menu of food and drink, great home cooked breakfasts and always pleasant and lovely staff. They do a huge range of teas and drinks including milkshakes and coffee! I've only been for breakfast but they have a huge lunch and afternoon menu which is busy all day!
A very busy Ambleside on the day we visited & were fortunate to get in to Daisy's (we've been before so knew how good it was!) Needed 3 tables for 10 of us. The staff are very friendly with a sense of humour & a well oiled machine of efficiency ππΌ Great food & drink choices. Highly recommended π
Great little quirky Cafe in the heart of Ambleside. The service was fast, coffee was tasty and the Milkshake was especially enjoyable, served in a Milk Bottle! The Teacake was large and was also reasonably cheap. Would highly recommend this place for some solace from the Rains!
What a great little cafe in the heart of Ambleside, Lake District. We stopped here for a quick lunch stop and ending up staying for atleast an hour. The interior is really quirky & traditional with the slate walls & unique furniture. The food we had (Toastie & Soup) was extra tasty & heart warming. The service was great too! Would definitely recommend anyone who's visiting the local area of Ambleside too try this place on their visit. The Daisy Cafe is idyllic.
With decor just on the right side of twee and cheap, homemade food, there's a lot to like about Daisy's. The staff are a credit to themselves; friendly, welcoming and they even remembered myself and my partner after our second visit.
As mentioned before, the food is extremely reasonably priced (unlike some others in town which charge tourist prices and then some) but don't mistake the wallet-friendly prices for lack of quality. The food is all homemade, unpretentious and utterly delicious. I went for breakfast twice and thoroughly enjoyed both, the full English is a real treat but the scrambled eggs were nothing to sniff at either. It'll remind you of your mother's cooking!
The exposed brick walls feel quintessentially Lake District and I can't think of a better place to start the day whether you're heading off on a long hike or just visiting a local National Trust property. A must-visit!
Nice cooked breakfast Β£8.90: coffee Β£3. Covid safe, polite efficient service, clean toilets. Nothing out of this world but a good start to your day!
A pleasant cafe with good coffee, a nice atmosphere and bonus that it's dog friendly. Just a bog-standard cafe, nothing spectacular.
The food is very good and the staff are very nice. I really enjoy going there for meals ! π
A very big like and 5stars !!! π
What a sandwich! Fresh ingredients and soft bread! Staff are friendly and always smiling too! Would definitely recommend! Thank you!
Had the standard breakfast here, it was excellent! Was tempted by the large breakfast but in the end it would have been too much...
Washed down with a nice, strong flat white. Waiting staff very friendly. Only criticism would be that the booth seating is very upright and the tables a bit on the high side for a shorty like me (5'6").
