Visited early morning in March 2024 and it was already busy. A really lovely little cafe, which did a gorgeous vegan breakfast (maybe less bread and more hash browns?). The atmosphere was charming and loved the old black & white film footage of Popeye, Olive & Bluto on the wall. A great find and one I'll certainly return to.

One of the best places to eat breakfast and drink hot chocolate, ever! Found this place last summer and was excited to return over Easter weekend. Returned twice this past weekend as it’s so good. Tip - get there for opening or be prepared to queue in the street.

Tasty food served quickly, from a menu with good choice and quality ingredients. Service was friendly and prompt, and the space was warm, cosy and relaxing to spend time in.

Discovered this hidden gem in April 2022 and found it so good that we returned twice more within the month and many more times since! The Lakeland Large 'Un full English breakfast is the best I've ever sampled, and I've had quite a few in various places over the years. It comes with everything, including an unusual take on the classic Cumberland "sausage" in the form of a chunky patty. The place itself affords inside and outside seating, is clean and uncluttered, and the staff are refreshingly polite and cannot do enough for you. They even offer cushions and blankets in case it's a little chilly outdoors. Simply the best place for breakfast in Ambleside, if not the whole Lake District!

I dropped in here for a cake and cuppa whilst on my way through Ambleside. The orange and almond cake blew my mind - absolutely delicious. Staff friendly and considerate. Would definitely come again!

Visited copper pot for breakfast on our last day of our holiday in the Lake District. Beautiful, little setting with tasty, fresh food and friendly service. Kids loved the waffles and I loved my halloumi, mushrooms, sweet chilli on ciabatta.

The best breakfast we’ve ever had, so good we came back the next day! We came after Rothay Park parkrun on Saturday, queued for a little while and had the best table outside in the sun. The flat white was perfection, and breakfast was amazing. The decor inside is super cute, with the lushest range of cakes. The staff are the loveliest, the whole place is so relaxing. Nothing could compare so we came back the next day, and by chance got the same table!

Absolutely love it here and always return when we visit to Ambleside. The safe are always friendly and accommodating and we never mind waiting a little bit for a table (even in the rain) as we know their breakfast is unmatched! My only slight issue is the no substitution policy - I asked for my black pudding to be removed and for an extra hash brown (which I assume is cheaper than a black pudding) but you’re still expected to pay full price for the breakfast plus extra for the hash brown. I can see that really annoying some people 😂. The coffee is also great and I really like that they take payment upfront so when you’re ready ti leave you’re not waiting around for the bill!

Called in for a coffee following a walk up to the waterfalls in Ambleside. I only had drinks and found the coffee very good. All the cakes looked excellent, alas I did not try any. Comfortable space and the room in which I sat had old movies projected on to the wall which I felt enhanced the vibe. Only downside was the one and only loo. Expect to queue for it at busy times.

What a wonderful spot. Very welcoming staff, delicious food and surprisingly quick service given it was a bank holiday! Very accommodating of my toddler as well- one member of staff went above and beyond to help! Lovely experience.

Over from France for a few weeks, I have struggled to find a really good coffee. When I mentioned this to the very helpful (and cheerful) chap who served us he suggested a flat white and I was not disappointed. My French friend chose a pot of tea and a slice of orange and almond cake. The plate appeared with two spoons cutely shaped as spades - very thoughtful as we hadn't asked but I did in fact "dig" in!! Calories are meant to be shared, after all!!! The cake was delicious and made a lovely change. We were sat outside in the sweet terrace garden and we left with a spring in our step. Highly recommended!

I rarely give a 5 star review but please understand this. Walking into this cosy lil unicorn of a place, you're greated by a very friendly face. You look up to the stone wall, you see a magical light that says, "this is our happy place". You instantly feel a part of it. The staff have chemistry, from the til op to the service and the kitchen staff. Their chemistry works, you can see it in the quality of the food. You get the feeling they all want to be there, and they all want to bring out quality upon quality. We ordered a vegetarian option and boi, no grease on the food. By far the cleanest vegetarian food we have ever tasted. And one more positive, the price isn't Michelin Star but the food is heading that way. Excellent work guys. We will bring the kids here, definitely.

Lovely place to stop and have a quick meal after any hike. Staff are lovely and always friendly. They do take your payment before they serve the food😳 Great range of cakes and great coffee. Nice light lunch (with vegan options). All in all better than what I could have ever expected. Parking is limited and you need a time card slot thing (pick it up from inside the store). This gives you an hour before you have to move again

It was a good small cafe in Ambleside with very friendly staff. Place has an amazing modern decor and has very good vibes. Offer both inside and outside sitting with very warm staff. They even enquire if we need parking disc for our car. Service was quick and food was overall very tasty. 4 stars as we felt it was expensive. Rest all good.
