Great sausages: nice and meaty with very little dropped fat. Good bacon: nice thick slices of back, very little dropped water when cooked Amazing pies: single person portion pies were excellent. Due to the steak ones being sold out the misses and me split a mince & ale and a chicken leek & ham between us. A lovely amount of filing. We had to go back when the steak ones were available. Not disappointed!

Last week we were on holiday in Amble. We purchased a number of items from the Amble Butcher. It was all good but one thing really stood out. The sirloin steak was juicy, tasty and tender. Absolutely delicious - the best steak we have had in a very long time.

Called in at the end of our break to take some food back home with us . The previous year we had bought a pork joint that was very tasty , so this year we bought a couple of pies , some pork & leek sausages & two steaks. All have been good so far . Found the staff to always be pleasant & friendly . Will definitely use again if return to the area .

Great local butcher. Told us how long beef had Been cured when purchasing stakes and when he made his sausage. Proof was in the eating over the bbq.

I adore all the pies especially the reiver pies. As I live in Blyth I stock up buying 6 at a time to freeze. I also buy their frozen haggis and different cuts of meat. Today I tried their sausages and cannot recommend them highly enough. Not a trace of fat in them...as good if not better than the Geordie Bangers or Heck variety. Well worth the trip.

Everytime we come up North we head for this butchers to stock up on Pies etc. This time we bought Pickled Brisket- fantastic on sandwiches. We bought Pies of course & some free range Belly Pork. Pies we had with stoved sprouts & carrots. Pork Pies are really meaty. The pastry on all the Pies is crispy- not chunky & claggy. The Belly Pork was absolutely divine- perfect crackling.

Really friendly staff. Peter is a very knowledgeable butcher. The steaks are aged, and top quality. Pies are delicious. So much so, I'm taking some home, when the holiday is over. Just a shame that I live in Leeds.

A bit disappointed my others half pie was full of filling mine was stuck to foil and one piece of chicken no sauce basically a empty pie

His pies and meat products are amazing. It is the only chicken pie I will eat!
