Last week we were on holiday in Amble. We purchased a number of items from the Amble Butcher. It was all good but one thing really stood out. The sirloin steak was juicy, tasty and tender. Absolutely delicious - the best steak we have had in a very long time.
Called in at the end of our break to take some food back home with us .
The previous year we had bought a pork joint that was very tasty , so this year we bought a couple of pies , some pork & leek sausages & two steaks. All have been good so far .
Found the staff to always be pleasant & friendly .
Great local butcher. Told us how long beef had Been cured when purchasing stakes and when he made his sausage. Proof was in the eating over the bbq.
I adore all the pies especially the reiver pies. As I live in Blyth I stock up buying 6 at a time to freeze. I also buy their frozen haggis and different cuts of meat. Today I tried their sausages and cannot recommend them highly enough. Not a trace of fat in them...as good if not better than the

Everytime we come up North we head for this butchers to stock up on Pies etc. This time we bought Pickled Brisket- fantastic on sandwiches.

Really friendly staff. Peter is a very knowledgeable butcher. The steaks are aged, and top quality. Pies are delicious. So much so, I'm taking some home, when the holiday is over.
Just a shame that I live in Leeds.
A bit disappointed my others half pie was full of filling mine was stuck to foil and one piece of chicken no sauce basically a empty pie
